Did a little research on this an discover, Superman fell in love with a Mermaid while in college. An interesting twist, Lori Lemaris showed up in a number of stories with Superman and introduced him to Aquaman.

Now why had I never heard about this before?

Guess I'm still discovering interesting facts about Super Heros and their dark pasts.
