Blurb:
A psychic interior designer reluctantly agrees to renovate a sexy investor's abandoned hotel on Loch Sheldrake, a lake rumored to have once been the mob's body dumping ground.

Interior designer Kate Bardach loves her single girl's lifestyle, living in Manhattan and spending weekends at her lake house. She's passionate about her career, too--reinventing old buildings. But there are some projects she can't take on because of the spirits trapped inside. Kate is psychic--she sees dead people.

Marco Lareci is one of Wall Street's most successful investment brokers who's achieved all of his life's goals--except for finding his soulmate. His latest project, an abandoned resort on Loch Sheldrake, needs a savvy designer to transform the crumbling complex into a boutique hotel. When Marco meets Kate, he can't believe his luck. She's the perfect match for his business and his heart.

Marco's body excites Kate even more than does his renovation project. But he wants more than a casual relationship, and she's not willing to give up her freedom. Plus, the haunting at Marco's resort, a bonafide poltergeist, affects her on an intensely personal level. Kate's aunt disappeared from the place fifty years ago.

Will the spirit doom Kate and Marco's love, or drive them closer together?

Excerpt:

A whirling dizziness overtook Kate, and suddenly, she was inside the building, standing in the lobby directly beneath the chandelier. Moonlight twinkled on its crystals in the darkness—a darkness thicker and deeper than ebony velvet. And the flashes of light dancing over her face and arms and all around her feet on the diamond-patterned carpet challenged her equilibrium, and she staggered.
But there was nothing to grab on to. She was lucky she didn’t topple to the floor. She recovered, though shakily, as the sparks of light began to organize and whirl around her, like a cyclone whose eye was her. The ringing in her ears grew louder, almost painful.
A sound behind her, coming from the direction of the ballroom, was like the hissing of a hoarse whisper. She turned as if in slow motion, dream-like and unafraid. Somehow she knew, felt deep in her heart, whatever was here wouldn’t harm her.
But the entity definitely wanted something. Wanted to share their pain with her. That’s why it had blasted her with its agony the first day she’d stepped over the threshold. How long, she wondered, had it been since this spirit could unload some of its misery on a living being? Kate often became their conduit: the only release for the suffering so many trapped souls endured, endlessly through time.
The definition of Hell.
In the blackness, she could barely distinguish the arched entryway to the ballroom. Peering across the empty space and through the far wall of glass, she could see the lake, lights glowing on the opposite shore and dancing in long streaks on the surface of the water. She didn’t make out the shape, silhouetted by the oval arch, right away. Her sight had blurred, and she lifted her hands to rub at her eyes. When they blinked open again, it was there.
Her breath caught in her throat as she realized it was large, at least in breadth, its surface thick and fuzzy. Her first thought was bear. But then a dripping sound filled her head, and she imagined more than saw something—what? Water? Blood?—streaming down off the apparition’s surface in dull, thudding thwops on the carpet. The sickening sound grew louder and louder, hurting her ears, and panic began to take hold.
Her own heart raced, and she was gasping for breath, as if she’d run a mile in heavy gear. Sparkles again filled her vision, but not from the flashes of light snapping wildly off the chandelier over her head.
Kate slapped both hands over her ears and screamed.
Yet, easily overriding her own horrified voice, two words resounded in her head. The same way as they had the night in her apartment. Echoing, pitiful. As though the voice emanated from down the other end of an underwater drainage pipe.
Find me. Find me. Find me.
Her breath hitched, and she gave in to the terror. All sounds silenced, and everything around her went black.

Excerpt:

Hesitant to approach the subject, she rested her cheek against his hard chest and slipped her arms around his trim waist. She drew in a deep breath to calm her racing pulse. The fresh, clean scent of soap that he’d used in his shower filled her senses. Need tingled through her breasts and the tips hardened. The battle to stay quiet concerning her feelings for him rose again to the forefront of her mind.
Should she tell him she wanted more?
Daniel dropped soft kisses onto her temple and whispered, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to worry you.” He slipped a hand under her shirt and his fingertips played over her spine.
A shiver of longing rushed through her. For two years, they’d been in this platonic relationship clinging together as a way of recovering from the devastating events in their lives. Now, she wanted to be his lover too. Did he want the same thing?
She lifted her head and met his dark brown gaze. Her argument evaporated beneath his heated stare. Air backed up in her lungs and she stuttered, “Daniel, we, uh, need to talk.”
“Can’t. My tongue has other tasks to achieve.”
“What...”

The rest of the sentence slid down the back of her throat when he settled his hot, hungry mouth over hers.

Warning:  This is hot read for mature adults.

Excerpt :

CHAPTER 1

Seek help of the Lord of Drakkenberg. Only he can aid you. You must fly with the dragon.
Her grandmother’s words rang in Tova’s head as she climbed the path into the mountains. Why had Mutti Zee sent her out of her way on a fool’s errand? Everyone knew the dragonfolk had fled Velosia years ago, driven away by Bruno of Grimmdorn’s crusade against them. Until he’d been driven from power. Now Bruno had returned at the head of a mercenary army, if Mutti Zee’s vision could be believed. And Tova had no doubts. She’d felt the vibrations in the earth.
And somehow she was supposed to save the kingdom?
She raised her gaze to the sky and asked, “Why me? I’m no hero.” The heavens gave no answer, though she saw clouds form to her left. She shook her head. Now she was talking to herself, like mad Magnus, the village idiot.
She stopped to catch her breath and rest her tired legs in a level area. The path ahead grew steeper and narrower the higher it wound into the mountains. She groaned. After walking all day, her legs ached. She was glad she’d worn men’s breeches and a tunic with her sturdy boots. A gown and petticoats would be but a hindrance.
After a deep breath, she started to climb again. Dusk came early in autumn, and she needed to find shelter before dark. Castle Drakkenberg, abandoned and forlorn, perched high above on a cliff, its turrets silhouetted against the leaden sky. Almost as if mocking her with its remoteness. Too much was at stake and her chances of reaching the capital in time to warn the king were slim at best. Even without this detour, she estimated the journey to Castle Novita would take three days or more.
For centuries, the dragon lords had resided in the castle, ruling the isolated mountain communities. People in this area were known as dragonfolk, though Tova knew not why. A great puzzle, but one she had no time to ponder. With luck, she had but to find the dragonlord, and he would take charge of the quest.
A shadow blocked the sun, and she looked up at an enormous bird silhouetted against the sky. Goddess, she’d never seen such a large raptor. It turned and the sun’s rays glinted on its shiny red-gold wings and barbed tail. She stopped and stared after it, shaken to the core of her being.

No, impossible. Dragons didn’t exist. They couldn’t.

IF Tomorrow Never Comes #BookHugs with #Ghost by Lisa Chalmers

Blurb:
How hard would you fight for the one you love?

Josh Collins has the perfect life—a beautiful girlfriend and a baby on the way, until an accident takes his life.

Avery Rhodes’ world imploded the moment she lost Josh. Her life and future unravelled in an instant. Alone and pregnant, she finds herself facing an unimaginable, turbulent and painful new reality.

With his newfound guide Gabriel, Josh is witness to the unintended consequences of his death, until he can't take it anymore. He has to fight for everything and everyone he loves.

Together, Josh and Avery are forced to learn what happens IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES.

Excerpt:
Josh had the sketchbook Gabriel had given him propped on his legs as he sketched absently as he sat on the beach, the sun rising behind him, not concentrating on what he was doing, the pencil moving quickly across the paper. His thoughts were where they always tended to drift to lately, Avery and the baby. He’d been afraid to sneak down and see her since the day he’d actually held her. It tore him up inside to be away from her for so long, but he didn’t understand what that meant, that he could suddenly touch her and she’d feel it. He didn’t want to scare her somehow. He smudged one of the lines he’d drawn and studied his work. Her face stared back at him. He darkened a few lines before he set the book beside him on the warm sand and closed his eyes, thinking back.
He’d decided to go with her to that very first doctor’s appointment, the one to confirm whether or not her suspicions were correct. It was uncomfortable being the only male in the doctor’s waiting room, being smiled at by every woman who walked in. He could still see the surprise on the nurse’s face when she walked out and found him there by himself for the first time. He’d tried to keep from squirming around anxiously in the chair every time he heard a door open and close in the distance. He wondered just how long it took to come back with test results anyway. They’d called and said they were in, so it didn’t take all that long to tell her yes or no, did it? He kept stretching his legs out ahead of him then bringing them back, not wanting to trip anyone as they were called for their appointment. He’d been there at least an hour waiting, jumping at every noise. He’d been sure the nurse was about to give him something for his nerves when he felt someone nudge his foot. He scooted his feet back, letting whoever it was pass by on their way to their appointment.
Good quiz in Cosmo?” Avery’s voice came from behind the glossy pages.
He lifted his gaze in record time. “Who cares?” He tossed the magazine on the empty chair beside him.
She read the cover. “Rating your lover in twelve easy questions.”
Avery?”
What?” She’d been reaching for the magazine.
I want to know.”
I haven’t taken the quiz yet.” She giggled as he batted her hand away. “You’re absolutely crazy.”
He glanced around the almost deserted waiting room before he pulled her down to sit on his lap. “I want to know if we’re going to have a baby.” His arm wrapped around her waist, his fingers sliding beneath the back of her shirt, rubbing the soft skin at the small of her back. “I need to know.”
You need to know, huh?”
His eyes locked on hers. “Come on, Aves. Am I going to be a daddy?”
She took one of his hands and moved it around, resting it on her abdomen. She bit her lip for a moment before breaking out into the most beautiful smile he’d ever seen. “I think Daddy’s crazy, don’t you, baby?”
Josh’s jaw dropped, his mind going absolutely blank as he tried to comprehend her words. She was kidding, she wasn’t kidding. She didn’t look like she was kidding. That smile on her face, the way her eyes were shining as she waited for his reaction. “Oh my…oh my God…”
So I guess I was right.”
Let’s take you home,” he said suddenly, his hand tightening over hers.
Why?”
He leaned in close to her. “Because I want to talk to the baby and then I want to make love to his beautiful mommy.” He stared into her eyes. “All right with you?”
She blushed as she slid off his lap. “More than all right with me.”

#BookHugs from @AuthorTinaGayle - CEO's Widow #geezerlit , #breastcancerawareness

A hug is a great way to show someone you care. That's why I love book hugs.

CEO’s Widow - Book 4 of the Executives' Wives' Club series

Genre: Contemporary Romance with strong women fiction elements
Four women...
One fatal car wreck...
Everyone's lives changed...

Blurb:

After surviving the grief from her husband’s death, Marianne Clark has built a new life with the help of the other Executive Wives. She plans to enjoy grandchildren and friends until her doctor tells her he found a lump in her breast. Her world turned upside down. She re-evaluates her priorities and decides she grab hold of life with both hands.
Knox Turner lost is first wife to cancer. He’s determined not to let Marianne face this challenge alone.
Can this couple face the trials ahead and build a future together?

Excerpt:
Tears leaked from the corners of Marianne’s eyes. She brushed them away with the back of her hand and stared out the front windshield of her car.
One sentence kept playing through her head. “We found an area on your left breast that might be a problem.”
Her doctor described other tests she’d have to take, which might also include a biopsy and possibly even surgery. With twenty-five-plus-years as an executive’s wife, she’d pushed aside her emotional response and had dealt with the problem logically.
She’d departed her doctor’s office in a blind stupor, reviewing every possible solution. Once she reached her car, she sat there for a few moments, her mind naturally turning to how to tell her family. Then, she recalled her decision to spend tonight with Knox and to go away with him for the weekend.
Pain sliced through her.
What should she say to him? Especially after the pain, he’d endured from losing Betty, his first wife to...
Damn.
Conversations she’d had with Knox when Betty was undergoing her intense chemotherapy ran through Marianne’s head. He’d appeared so strong. Yet, he’d sacrificed everything and sold his company so he’d have more time to spend with his wife.
Why give up everything if he hadn’t believed she’d recover?

Tina's Reason for writting CEO"S Widow

Even the Threat of Cancer can cause stress. The days before a doctor gets the results of the test can seem like forever.

When I was in my teens, my mother found a lump in her breasts. The only way for them to tell if it was cancerous was to do a biopsy. Back in those days, a woman had to check into a hospital to have a biopsy done.

The days before the biopsy, I remember believing that those may be the last days of my time with her. We grew very close during that time and remained close afterward.

When I decided to write CEO’s Widow, I remember the pain I suffered and tried to add that to the story. This book does not go into the technical aspects of the treatment. Instead, it is about the emotional pain the cancer causes.

My Dirt Rotten Scoundrel in Banished Scoundrel #shapeshifter , #eroticmystery #ASMSG

His sources reveal the Princess Noelani is being held by a powerful man who likes a good game of chance. So with twenty borrowed pieces of gold Jack enters the high-stakes game. So what if, in order to control her, he forces Kitty to morph then deprives her of sexual release after transformation. Together Jack and Kitty risk it all, for the stakes are high and the prize is worth it...freedom, forgiveness, love.

Excerpt from Banished Scoundrel

The dark night didn’t bother Jack. He enjoyed the peaceful sound of an owl cooing and the cold crisp dirt under his paws. Fresh air filled his lungs, and he quickly recovered from his jaunt through the woods. Sloan had led him on a merry chase, but Jack gained the information he needed.

Still in his panther form, he followed Kitty’s scent. She hadn’t agreed to meet him, but her unique fragrance on the breeze had directed him to her path through the underbrush. The low shrubs helped provide plenty of cover from any wandering guest.

A snap from a twig sang through his sharpened awareness. He scanned the sandy shore of the lake. A sleek female panther stalked to the water’s edge and dipped her head to drink.

With her tail up and lying along her side, the rich scent of her sex filled his senses. He focused on the wide spread of her back legs. The pleasure of pumping his barbed cock deep into her lush pussy enraged his lust. Her scream of completion would echo through the night and alert the humans in the castle of their activities.
Kitty.
The panther turned and stared at the castle. Jack? What are you doing here?

He stepped out from his hiding place. The light from the night beast lit the area in an eerie glow. Unwilling to expose himself to danger, he tossed his head back at the structure glowing in the distance. Many of the bedroom windows faced the lake.

Why don’t we move to a more secure area? I don’t want anyone from Sloan’s party to see us. He turned.

No, Jack. Even though you’ve caught me in my panther form, I’m not following you into the underbrush. I’ve read that male cats have an insatiable hunger to mate. She shuffled her paws in the sand and strolled along the shoreline.

But wait! With a quick burst, he covered the ground between them. He closed his mouth around the hairs on the back of her neck and tugged.

She sighed and stopped. Jack, I’m not fucking you in this form. A quick twist of her head and she broke free of his grip. Now stop.

A deep purr rumbled from his chest. He couldn’t allow her to escape.

Hero of Banished Scoundrel #Shapeshifter #ASMSG #Erotica

I played a vital role in the Banished Hero. If not for me Havyn and Faye Lynn would never have returned to Ardenia.

But you know what a prude Havyn is, he wouldn't let me near Faye Lynn.

Her naked body and shapeshifter blood called to the lust in mine. If I'd only found her first.

But I understood why the woman captured Havyn's attention.

She looks a little like Meriel, his first love. Same build. Petite, yet her hips and bosom can support the weight of bearing many offspring.

Oh, the smell of her -- a male shape-shifter’s wet dream.

Rock-hard, I thought about fighting Havyn for her. But the man is a beast and I didn't want to go up against him. Instead, I decided to use the situation to my advantage.

Just part of being an industrious young man.

Having Havyn in my debt was worth losing the girl.

Hell, for a chance to get back into Ardenia. I'd have taken him to the portal.

But alas, my adventure was to find Faye Lynn's sister.

Unholy Alliance - A #BookHugs Treat by Kathleen Rowland #Romance #Mystery

Inspirational thought from Kathleen -

Kathleen believes a friend is kind to another’s dreams. Everyone struggles, and a friend who tries to understand is priceless. When things go well, a friend shares the joy.

Blurb, Unholy Alliance:
The worst happened. Her cousin is still missing. Just released from jail for a murder she didn’t commit, thanks to attorney, Grady Fletcher. Tori has no clues. No destination. Just fear for the cousin she believes is held captive by an Irish mob boss, Seamus McGinn.
What if Tori were to park a food truck in the seedy waterfront neighborhood where the mob operates and hunt for this sadistic killer? Grady must protect the strong woman he’s come to adore. With emotions on a knife edge, Tori runs on instinct, on the desperation of affection between cousins. With adrenaline pumping, this is it. Tori identifies an island hideout, but Grady warns her to anticipate who her cousin is now.

Excerpt for Unholy Alliance-- takes place when her attorney, Grady, visits Tori’s food truck,
Deep Fried to Taste, for the first time.
She’d walked out of the Gladstone Prison a decade before she’d walked in. After ten years she was free. Free because of Grady. The effects of imprisonment scarred her but also strengthened her resolve. Her heart swelled with gratitude for freedom.
She had a home in her food truck and proved in one day she could make money. She had friends who worked within two blocks of the lot. Her former cellmate embalmed at a funeral home. Down the street, Grady appealed cases of the wrongly accused, and his detective, Maeve, not only found evidence to support his efforts, but she also wanted to know if her cousin was living in terror or dead and at peace. Earlier from her office desk Maeve texted her the link for MissingWomen25to30.com. Friends Amy and Finn were a phone call away. Her parents disappeared on the day of her conviction and bought a house in Carlow, Ireland. She trusted they longed for her as she did them. She mourned the loss of her brother but worried nonstop over Vivienne.
A gaping hole in her heart ached to find her. When she did, she’d take a full breath. Her search began where it left off. Seamus McGinn, the thug who’d framed her.
What did Viv look like now? Was she using the new last name, Valentine? Fairy tale beautiful with waves of blonde hair and a rosebud mouth, her flair for adventure sometimes led to trouble with wild boys.
Grady double-arm waved at her. It was as if he were a two-dimensional character in a dream. Handsome. As upstanding as any man could be. Her legs gave way. The figure in the distance did that, and she grabbed the counter. Dizzy and short of breath, she chastised herself for holding on to the romantic notions she fantasized about a hundred times a day. She stuck her head out the window. “I’m coming out.”
Grady met her on the stairs and offered a hand. The closer he got, the harder it was to concentrate on stepping down. His killer smile showed off two sexy dimples when he said, “It’s noon.”
Good noon to you.” She gulped. Readying herself for conversation, she took his hand, rose on her toes, and sniffed. “Hmmm, what is that? Shaving lotion? Man perfume?”
He chuckled, and a weird electric awareness went off in her chest. In slow motion, it cracked open slowly, sent out sparkly runners to forgotten girl parts, and pulsed there.
She pulled her shoulders back and lifted her chin. Their gazes locked. Her hair loosened from her bandana. “Drat, I’m a chef. Hair is supposed to stay put.” She took it off, placed the center of the bandana on the nape of her neck and tied a knot on the top of her head.
He reached to help tuck the ends under. “You’re so darn cute.”
Oooo, that scent. Are you going to tell me what it is?”
Eau des Baux Eau.” The warm, deep sound of his voice sent more sensations of want right through her. Behind him, the sun stretched a bit higher and seemed to shine just on him. “You like it?”
I sure do. Vanilla. You smell like a cookie.” Her heart thudded harder than it should.
Do you like cookies?” He bent his head for a kiss.
She kissed Mr. Good Noon with the wavy reddish-brown hair and body made to lose sleep over. Her breath hitched, and she took a step back from heartbreak. No reason to set sights on a man way out of her league. The glow dimmed, and the warmth backed off. “Care to look at my menu?” She stepped closer to the blackboard.
Now you’re speaking my language. I’m starving.” He raised his eyebrows and the corners of his mouth lifted. “Pimento cheeseburger corn dog.”
That’s my great food mash-up.”
I can see why. It blends two favorites, the cheeseburger, and the corn dog.”

Excerpt

She felt vulnerable now that she’d gotten naked, but she knelt, knees spread, pussy open, hands resting on her thighs, her gaze fixed on the floor. Just when she thought he’d changed his mind about their scene, she heard him stand and move behind her. He fastened a blindfold over her mask, and her world went black.
The darkness disoriented her, but Master Erik brushed his lips against hers. That brief, gentle touch set the wild horses in her stomach rearing up and pawing the air. She heard his clothes rustle as he moved in front of her. Gently, he lifted her left hand to his lips and kissed her palm.
Coco Starr hitched in a breath as he fastened fur-lined handcuffs around her wrists. He took a moment to check they didn’t dig into her flesh. The deep rumble of his voice delighted her when he told her, “Stand up.”
With her hands fastened before her, she had difficulty rising, so he took hold of one elbow and helped her to her feet. His hands slid down to her hips as he walked her forward. “Arms over your head.”
She stretched upward as instructed. Despite her heels, she had to go on her tiptoes for him to loop the handcuff chain over the hook in the ceiling. Once the chain settled, she felt vulnerable as she teetered on her high heels.
He positioned her carefully, spreading her legs wide, then backed off again. She didn’t move, but her heart beat so loud she could hear nothing except her blood pounding in her veins. Nervous, excited, body on fire for his touch, she waited.
Listening hard, she wondered what Master Erik would do next. She heard his footsteps as he crossed the black-and-white tiled floor, followed by swishing sounds. He’d collected a flogger from the far wall. Although they’d agreed on this, she’d never been flogged before. Her nerves jangled as she anticipated his next move. When the flogger hit her skin, would it be soft and gentle or firm enough to make her back feel like he lashed it with tongues of fire?
Time moved in slow motion. Letting her Dom make decisions for her was a blessed release from her everyday persona. Her spine still tingled, part with nerves, part with anticipation. Not knowing what to expect felt…arousing. Her pussy grew damp, and she hovered on the edge of orgasm.
His breath felt warm on her neck as he palmed her breasts. The way he stroked and caressed them made her nipples peak. He chuckled and slipped tweezer clamps on each breast in turn. They felt heavy and tight, pulling her breasts down. When she wriggled and tried to find a better balance, bells tinkled on the ends of the clamps.
“Sweet music,” Master Erik whispered in her ear.
He stepped back, and she felt the soft caress of suede run down her spine. The slightly furred feel of it against her skin made her sigh in her bonds. A shiver ran from her head to her toes, making the bells clamped on her nipples chime like a fairy song.

Blog post Introduction

Former soldiers make great heroes. They’ve fought for their country, they understand loyalty, and they come with solid muscle and faultless manners. That makes them perfect in my book. When Loose id requested submissions for three linked stories, I decided my heroes would be former soldiers who want to build a new life in the fictional North Carolina town of Westhorpe Ridge.  I fell in love with my heroes and needed to revisit Westhorpe Ridge.  Another stand-alone story beckoned.

Luke’s seen too many terrible things, and he’s suffered for it. His body’s scarred and his spirit’s crushed. Slowly, he’s clawing his way back to normal. It’s only natural that the other former military men in Westhorpe Ridge close ranks around him. The things PTSD sufferers go through can’t be underplayed.

The more I learned about Marines, SEALs, and Army Doctors, the more I respect them. Now I’ve added an Army trained mechanic to the list. While I’ve done all I can to bring Westhorpe Ridge to life, I need to thank my editor, Kierstin Cherry for “Americanizing” my very British expression. I hope my readers will love Westhopre Ridge and its heroes so much they’ll want to visit again and again

More about Kryssie Fortune

Kryssie is never seen without her kindle. She reads everything and anything she can get her hands on. When she discovered hot, sexy reads, she felt like she’d found her home. The only books she hates are the ones that end with a cliff hanger or have unhappy endings.
Kryssie tries to set her stories in places she’s explored. Hopefully, it adds color to her writing. Anything can spark a story idea. Sometimes she takes liberties though. The North Yorkshire town of Whitby is one of her favorite places. To keep the details of her imaginary town, Westhorpe Ridge consistent, she mentally shunted Whitby over the Atlantic and renamed it Westhorpe Ridge.
When not writing, Kryssie loves to walk on the beach of home town, Bridlington, or potter in her garden. Popping down to London to see her family is her favorite thing to do.
Kryssie currently has thirteen books on general release along with a boxed e-book of the first three Westhorpe Ridge stories. All her stories are M/ F or M/M/F. All are edited by publishing houses in either the UK or the USA. While her stories sizzle with sex, plot comes before bed. Life’s always an adventure going on in Kryssie’s world.
