Have Some Naughty Fun in Fairy Land

Fairy Fun - a 99 cent read

Dedrick Forester, Prince of Endole, is fast approaching the end of his fairy cycle, which means losing his ability to fly, transforming into a wood gnome, and having to choose a mate. Until then he just wants to have fun...and lots of sex.

King Rosewood of Evermore is determined to see his daughter wed, but Chloe loves the freedom of fairy flight too much to settle down as a frumpy old wood gnome. She escapes and spreads her wings to reach new heights...like air sex with a stranger.

Combine her passion with Dedrick’s and sparks light up the sky. Both discover pleasure beyond their wildest fantasies. But neither is prepared for the emotional connection. Now Dedrick must convince Chloe that losing her wings doesn't mean there aren't other ways to fly?

Excerpt:

“Have you ever done it while flying?” A soft female voice whispered near Dedrick’s right shoulder.

Perfect. He turned and a zing of lust shot through his balls.

A fairy with dark auburn hair stood behind him. Her sea-green eyes held a teasing glint, and a come-hither smile welcomed him closer. He dropped his gaze and scanned her lush body. The small swell of her breasts barely rose above the thin gossamer fabric of her top, teasing him with glimpses of her peaking nipples.

He lowered his eyes to keep her from noticing the hunger pulsing through his blood. The curvy dip of her waist led to the wide flare of her skirt, which fell smoothly over her hips and ended at the top of her creamy thighs. Long silky legs robbed his brain of coherent thought—other than having them wrapped around his waist. His cock twitched.

“Always wondered if it could be done.” The lady glided to the counter, and Mel handed her the same chocolate concoction.

“Some say there’s no better sex.” Mel picked up his rag and walked down the length of the bar to another customer.

Dedrick wrapped his hands around his drink to keep from grabbing the sexy fairy and pulling her into his arms. Pictures flashed in his head—his hands around her waist, her nipples in his mouth, his cock deep inside her pussy. He groaned. “Sounds like an adventure we should try.”

He lifted his shell and gulped down a swallow. The warm, rich ambrosia caressed his taste buds and ignited images of sipping a woman’s pussy. The heady kick intensified the nervous excitement over the possibility of finally relieving the ache in his cock. “My name is Chloe.” The lady lifted her drink as if in toast. “Let’s drink to us both enjoying the experience.”

Intrigued by her suggestion of air-sex, Dedrick touched his glass to hers. Energy sizzled down his spine, and he fought his impatience. “Dedrick, and when would you like to give it a go?”

Diana Rubino - A Bloody Good Cruise -#FallingIntoLove Read

 photo 51eA2vckoOL_BO2204203200_PIsitb-sticker-v3-bigTopRight0-55_SX278_SY278_PIkin4BottomRight122_AA300_SH20_OU01__zps89066242.jpg

A BLOODY GOOD CRUISE is a fun-filled blend of the vampire world and luxury cruises, starring romance author Mona Rossi and Fausto Silvius, a full-blooded vampire. The popularity of cruises and vampires make it a unique blend, but a very fun setting.
My stories are romances set against a backdrop of political upheaval, court intrigue, poverty general drama of the surroundings, and at times a splash of the paranormal. What I’m trying to get across in my stories is that love can prevail no matter what the conflicts and obstacles, earthly or not.
Coffeetime Romance says in its review, “A Bloody Good Cruise is a high seas adventure with twists and turns around every corner. The lively cast spins non-stop excitement with thrills and enough snags to keep the pages turning.”
I wanted to combine Italian vampires, comedy and cruising in one package, so I hopped on my imaginary ship The Romanza to get my characters in all kinds of trouble. I envisioned the hero, Fausto, as actor Vincent Irizarry (Dr. Hayward on All My Children). That made my job so much easier. He is THE perfect vampire. Italian vampires and hunters (the Vampire Ball Busters) leave the field wide open for comic relief, and I had plenty of chances in this story. Since I'm hooked on cruising and I'm Italian, I didn't need to do that much research. The name Fausto came from an Italian woman I met in the 1980s, Fausta. I knew I had to use some version of that name in one of my books.
My husband and I are hooked on cruising, and my very first cruise was on the Eastern Mediterranean, beginning in Rome and ending in Istanbul. The ports of call included Rhodes, Cyprus, Santorini, and Egypt. Because I love Italy and cruising, I wanted to combine those passions with a humorous story about vampires and how they face prejudice in the human world.

I met an Italian woman named Fausta in 1983 and always loved that name--I always planned to use that name in one of my books someday. I finally got the chance with the hero Fausto, close enough!
The actor I envision for the hero Fausto is Vincent Irizarry, who played Dr. David Hayward on All My Children. He is every bit the perfect vampire.

Excerpt:
Mona forced a dose of cheer through her jangly nerves. Vampire hunters wouldn’t have the balls to attack Fausto and his friends on this ship. Security was tight. “Well, you’re here, so does that mean you’ve been going out, and aren’t confined to your house any more?”
Fausto shrugged. “Almost. I couldn’t wallow in self-pity forever. And I knew seeing you would make it worthwhile.”
She smiled and gave him a genuine Italian cheek pinch. “I’ll cheer you up, faccia bella, you can count on that. You must feel safe.” She gestured at the tacky duds. “I mean, relatively speaking.”
“Don’t let this scare you, but –” He glanced around over the rims of his shades. Uh-oh. Whenever he said “don’t let this scare you,” it scared her. “I got an ominous message at the doctor’s office earlier.”
“What—” She swallowed a lump. “What kind of ominous message?”
He looked away, shaking his head. “Nothing to get alarmed about. The hunters just want me to know they’re here. After the initial jolt wore off, I said, ‘okay, I’m being stalked again.’ But I’m used to it. It doesn’t make me constantly look over my shoulder like in the old days. My family’s murder gave me a reality check. If they want me, they’ll get me. I can’t let it interfere with my work, or what little leisure time I have here. And you shouldn’t either.” He gazed at her adoringly and cupped her cheek. His hand was surprisingly warm. “But you’re still scared. All the blood’s drained out of your face, and not in a good way.”
An Interview with Mona Rossi, heroine of A Bloody Good Cruise
You, the Heroine . . .
Readers love to know about their favorite heroines, and this is your chance to make them feel close to you.
If you have 2 hours free time tonight, what would you rather do? Why?
Soak in my hot tub overlooking the Tuscany Hills with a chilled glass of Gianni Brunelli Brunello di Montalcino Riserva from right there in Tuscany. Fausto bought me a
case of this for our one-year anniversary. It’s a  deep ruby red with intense
aromas of notes of leather and cherry. Upon sipping, you get an astringent taste.
At $389 a bottle, I splurge when I sell a book—then I buy another bottle when the book sales hit the 1,000 copy mark.
But when I can’t be so decadent I drink Beaujolais
Nouveau, produced in the Beaujolais region of France. (sorry, Fausto, it’s not
Italian.) It comes out once a year, and goes on sale the third Thursday of
November. If you don’t get to a store in time, you can miss out. It sells out fast.
Distributors deliver it to stores at 12:01 a.m. local time. I’ve seen people in line
waiting for it. I’d do that for a Springsteen concert, but not for a bottle of wine!
Yes, I’m a Springsteen fan, and that’s something else I’d do with two free hours—go to one of his shows or blast his CDs and dance like crazy.
But along with the wine, I’d have Sinatra or Dean Martin playing in the background, with a vanilla candle. And if I’m feeling indulgent, I’ll bring three white chocolate truffles, and eat them fast so they don’t melt.
What kind of books do you love to read? Why?
The same kind of romances I write—suspense, where the heroine gets into one mess after another. I read out loud, it improves my diction for when I speak at writers’ conferences. I also like to browse cookbooks. I take a snapshot of the recipe in my head, then go and improvise.
My favorite author is Linda Howard. She writes such pulse-pounding suspense. And I know this sounds hokey, but when I met Fausto, I began reading Anne Rice. Fausto and his family aren’t the same kinds of vampires she writes about, but it gave me some perspective. To me, the original book Dracula, by Bram Stoker, was scary as hell. But I do consider it one of my favorite books because it was so innovative. I never believed in vampires before that book, and look where I am now!
     I like to go to Goodreads to seek out new titles. I don’t read the reader reviews, though. Too many of them have misled me. I just read the book summary and make up my own mind.
What is your stress buster?
A Pilates class or watching my favorite shows while working out on the elliptical trainer—I watch comedy working out, certainly not the news—I want to bust stress, not increase it. I have DVDs of some classic sitcoms:
I Love Lucy, the Dick Van Dyke Show, All in the Family, Seinfeld—and some live standup: Joan Rivers, Phyllis Diller, Richard Pryor, the pioneers, the greats. No comedians working the clubs today come close to those legends. Moving for an hour to comedy—or music—is the best way to relieve stress and work it all off. When not on the elliptical, I’ll get out my iPod, close the door, pull the shades and torch some calories dancing to my cardio mix—a scientifically engineered mix of songs that burn 450 calories—one of my warm up songs is Scream by Usher, one sprint song is Pump It by Black Eyed Peas, a recover song is Goin’ In by J.Lo, and a cool down song is Halo by BeyoncĂ©.
What is your favorite food? What food do you seek when you’re sad, sort of a comfort food?
Cheesecake made with cottage cheese—it’s healthy and low fat, and tastes every bit as good as ‘real’ cheesecake but much lighter. I also make honey balls, “Struffoli” which is a Christmas treat, but I make them year round. I added the recipe below. Every morning I make a healthy smoothie with almond milk, coconut milk, yogurt, either spinach or kale, cinnamon, and protein powder. If I use chocolate powder, I also add peanut butter. You can’t even taste the spinach or kale, but it does turn the smoothie green. I also do some creative things to oatmeal—top it with cinnamon or nutmeg. I make it with a green tea bag instead of plain water for a healthy boost.
Describe yourself in one word.
Determined.
What is the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
Being turned—but it was a matter of life and death. I trusted Fausto with my life, and here I am.
What makes you happy/sad/disappointed/frustrated/hopeful/angry? (Pick one)
What makes me angry is intolerance. After I went through with Fausto and his family, I saw first-hand what someone different must go through to gain acceptance. I’m trying to change that by giving talks about vampires, explaining who we really are, so someday prejudice against us—and anyone else the ‘majority’ deems ‘different’ will be an ugly thing of the past.
What are your wildest dreams/fantasies/kinks/quirks?
My wildest dream is to live a week in Ancient Rome, as a Senator’s mistress.
What do you most want out of life, and what’s its opposite?
I most want social acceptance and its opposite is to disappear in the crowd,      to be an ordinary citizen.
What would you never say, do or think?
I’d never insult someone just to show I’m better or smarter.
I’d never let anyone boss me around.
I’d never think I’m inferior to anyone because of my new status as a vampire.
What are some of your faults?
I’m too assertive at times. I still worry about what people think of me. I overcompensate to get them to accept and like me. I make a mess after cooking and don’t clean it up right away. This drives Fausto nuts. He’s a neat freak. Another fault that also drives him nuts is that I put off going to the doctor. We’ve been granted eternal life, but we do have to get checkups along the way!

Spotlight for Tempered Fire (3rd book in the Tempered series) by Pamela S. Thibodeaux

Title: Tempered Fire (book 3 in Tempered series)

Blurb: Amber Harris is a good girl on the brink of womanhood. Stanley Morrison is a young man at the start of his life. For each other, they have always felt the fireworks that two people in love should feel. But the questions about his past, his pride, and Amber's father might be the end of what could be a strong relationship. As the two try to protect their budding romance, some unlikely but powerful forces conspire to keep them apart. Will they survive the wishes of everyone around them with their relationship intact?

Excerpt: Emotion burst to life within her and swarmed through Amber until it overflowed, warm and wet down her cheeks.
Stan tasted her tears and groaned. Loosening his hold he broke the kiss, burying his face against her shoulder. “God,” he mumbled, lifting his head to meet her gaze. “I’m sorry.”
She looked at him wide-eyed and trembling. Anger, desire, and wonder warred in her eyes. She rolled them in an exaggerated gesture. “Now, he apologizes,” she muttered then leveled her gaze on him.
“Why haven’t you kissed me like that before?”
His breath heaved while he struggled for control. “Didn’t think it was proper, still don’t.”
“So that’s what you meant by all lips and teeth and tongue?” she asked, her voice quivering with awe.
He stepped back, touching her cheek with his uninjured hand. “Yes.” His voice was raw, eyes fierce. “But not with anger, never with anger. I’m sorry.”
Grabbing his hand, she pressed a kiss into it. “Show me,” she urged her eyes soft and warm. “Kiss me again, Stanley.”
“No, Amber.” But she was pressing against him, her arms sliding around his neck. Senses dulled by fatigue, resistance clouded by pain, control ravished and weakened by desire, Stanley succumbed with a groan. Hauling her gently but firmly against him, he buried his lips on hers, this time with devastating tenderness.
His mouth embraced hers tasting, teasing, savoring her lips as though he were a starving man biting into his first meal in weeks. His teeth nipped at her lip, tugging a moan from deep within her. Amber clung to him weakly as they slid to the floor.

The @GoddessFish Presents Mind of the Beast

Collaborating with Brian and Juliet Freyermuth
Collaborating with another writer, especially one you’re married to, is not for the faint of heart. But if you can get past the challenge of not being attached to what you write, it can be a fun experience and the two of you wind up creating a great novel. We complement each other in every area of our life.

Writing is no exception.

Brian has 20 years of experience writing for games. When he is writing and editing dialog, he thinks about how it would read during a voice over session.

The key to good dialog writing is hearing the voice of the character in your head. You need to hear the mannerisms, the ticks, the sense of humor, etc, before you can write what the character has to say. When Brian worked on the video game Epic Mickey 2: the Power of Two, he would listen to the old cartoons over and over again until he could hear Mickey, Donald, or Goofy talking in his head. It was the same on Mind of the Beast.

Juliet loves writing about people. When she creates a character or expands on one of Brian’s characters, she wants to know them as well as her best friends. She asks herself questions like: What are their weaknesses? Strengths? What are their quirks? What do they do for fun? If they’re evil, what is something that could make you relate to them?

The Sundancer series is based on the premise, what would happen to supernatural beings if their reality was based on popular belief. Felix is a vampire who was turned back in the ‘60s. Because of all the books and movies about vampires, he is far from the Bram Stoker version. He’s a minor character but the catalyst for why Nick looks into the death of one of Felix’s friends.

Felix holds onto his flower child days by drinking blood that is laced with drugs. Since, in the world of Mind of the Beast, vampires need to stay connected to humans in order to keep their humanity, we gave him a hobby of role-playing. He met the victim playing Fading Suns. Felix is also laid back until you interfere with his ability to stay connected to humanity, then he turns into a stress monkey. He is not at all violent and will do anything to help a friend. Not all vampires are like this, as you’ll find out later in the series.

When collaborating with another author, figure out your strengths. That will help you define each of your roles. We also recommend that one person work on the novel at a time. The person writing the rough draft should let the person who is doing the rewrite know which scenes they feel the most attached to. By collaborating on Mind of the Beast, we were able to create a novel neither one of us could have written alone, forgoing the isolation usually associated with writing and having a great time in the process.

Mind of the Beast (a Sundancer Novel, Book 2)
by Brian & Juliet Freyermuth

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
When a vampire asks Nick St. James to investigate his friend’s murder, the answer should have been easy, right? NO. Okay, not so easy. How do you say no to a friend like Felix?
Besides, with Thelma by his side, what could go wrong? She’s got that, umm … cute pink backpack of Voodoo magic. Of course it hurts that she manages to look good even when she accidentally conjures and gets possessed by a drunk loa. No, it won’t be at all distracting to have her along.
Since no good deed goes unpunished, a crazy man with starry eyes jumps out of the shadows at the victim’s apartment and pummels them. Their attacker doesn’t just beat them up but also infects them with some bad mojo that’s killing Thelma and making Nick angry … angrier.
If the trail to the suspect—the Green Man—is any indication, they’ll be killed before the poison finishes the job. The old gods are more dangerous than helpful. The Watchers—even the one who seems to have a brain—are always a hazard. And what’s with the all the minions? Who has minions anymore? Not to mention the rapid progression of the infection that quickly upgrades Nick’s condition to ‘blind-rage-filled.’
Why couldn’t Felix have just asked Nick to help him move?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

EXCERPTS

She shot him again, but he continued toward her. Two bloodstains formed on his ratty shirt. He swung at her, but she quickly shifted to the left.

It was my turn. I punched him from the side and sent him flying into the desk across the room. Sounds of the monitor shattering and wood splintering filled the air as I rushed toward him.

Another sound of gunfire rang out but didn’t stop him from getting to his feet. He barreled toward me like a freight train. The gunshots slowed him considerably, but it didn’t stop him. Pain radiated through my chest as his fist made contact, sending me into the wall between the two rooms. A crack traveled up the wall to the ceiling, and plaster rained down around us.

More shots sounded as I got back to my feet. Two more holes opened in the man’s shirt. He was almost to Thelma when I grabbed him from behind. I used all my enhanced strength to lift him and toss him toward the kitchen. His body flew through the open door, smashing the wood of the frame in the process.

On the counter was the third gnome, his hands covering his speak-no-evil lips. I grabbed it and swung for the man’s head. It contacted with a sick thunk, and blood splashed across the gnome’s face. The bastard wouldn’t go down! I snarled and swung again, but this time he grabbed my wrist in midair and twisted it before tossing me to the ground.

A Romantica® paranormal erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

Excerpt

Peering behind an amp where the sound came from, I saw something that made me forget why I was back here. Two women were in a heated kiss. A tall auburn-haired one wearing a black vinyl dress with corset fastenings along her back had a petite blonde pressed against a wall. I slipped back against the wall to blend in with the shadows, mesmerized. Was there anything hotter than two women making out?
The taller one took the smaller woman’s wrists and pressed them higher against the wall. She moved her mouth down to kiss the blonde’s neck and slid her hand under her skirt.
Holy shit! She was touching her right in front of me. Forget the burlesque dancers, this was a much better private show.
Now I could see more of the blonde’s face, her eyes closed, mouth half-open, and an expression that spelled pure ecstasy. The tiny mewling sounds escaping her shot me to rock-hard status. I had to adjust my pants. Watching them was wrong, I knew it. But I couldn’t tear my eyes away even if I’d had a crowbar.
The blonde cried out, setting my senses on alert. Compelled to make sure she was all right, I peered closer. Her pained expression changed to a rapturous one, clearly enjoying whatever was happening. Maybe they liked it rough, with a little pain. Nothing wrong with that.
I didn’t hear anyone approach, but a massive, long-blond-haired guy in black swooped in front of the women. “Nike, stop,” he commanded.
The auburn-haired woman turned his way and hissed. It sounded more feline than female. “Leave us, Danton.” She bent down over the woman’s neck again.
“You can’t do this.” He pulled her away as if she were as light as a mic stand. “Where’s Michel?”
This woman had drops of blood smeared on her chin and on sharp white teeth, which I swear looked like fangs. Holy shit, fangs. I knew this club was full of freaks, but vampire play? Jeez.
“He’s not here,” she hissed.
“Let’s call him to come get you.” He clamped onto her wrist and she pouted, but didn’t fight him.
The guy scanned the area backstage and pointed at me. “You. Take her out of here.” He nodded to the blonde. Her eyes still appeared unfocused, dazed by lust.
“What?” I replied, stepping out from behind the amp. “I don’t even know her.”
“Get her out of here. It’s for her safety,” he said. With his free hand, he took the blonde by the wrist and nudged her in my direction.
The blonde’s eyes floated around, but then widened when she focused on my face. “You?” she said, astonished.
After a quick glance at her, the Viking dude said, “You will not remember any of what happened back here tonight.” His eyes fixated on mine, not blinking.
“What the hell, dude?”
He looked away and inhaled, closing his eyes and muttering something under his breath. Staring at me again, he said, “You will forget what happened back here tonight.”
“Whoa, are you trying to pull some kind of Jedi mind trick on me?” I raised my hands. “Not cool, man.”
The Viking guy continued to stare, but then tilted his head, appraising me. The woman began to squirm out of his grasp, flashing her bloody fangs our way as she reached for the blonde next to me.
“Get her out of here,” he repeated. “Now!”
The urgency in his voice and the prospect of being bitten by a madwoman who took a fascination with vampires to an extreme spurred me into action. Forgetting about the band with their luscious half-naked dancers, I grabbed the blonde’s hand. She was somewhat woozy and toddled on her spiky heels so I threw her over my shoulder to get us out of the club faster. Her scent washed over me, clean with undertones of coconut. It tugged at the back of my brain with familiarity.
Her wits must have begun to return as she pounded my lower back. “Put me down.”
“Easy, princess,” I said. “I’m trying to help you.”
“I don’t need your help! Put me down.”
Once we were outside in the brisk New England air, I set her on her feet. The salty tang of the ocean tickled my nostrils even though it was hundreds of yards away. A light dusting of snow had fallen and a few snowflakes fluttered through the air, but it wasn’t dense enough to stick and would probably be gone by morning.
“What the hell was that about in there? You’ve got blood dripping down your neck.”
She dabbed at her neck and stared at her fingers, now stained dark red. “What the—” A snowflake went straight for her finger and we both watched mesmerized as stark white met velvet red and was swallowed by it.
A few snowflakes fell onto her cheeks and her tiny nose and I felt an urge to brush them away, but they melted once they met the warmth of her flushed skin. She had delicate features and pretty blue eyes. She looked familiar, but I couldn’t place how I knew her. Her blonde hair lay tousled on her shoulders, set off by the black of a dress that clung to her tight little body. My cock had settled down after the freaky incident inside, but twitched back to life again.
“Are you two into some weird-ass drugs and vampire role-play or something?” I asked.
My question distracted her from her blood-covered fingers. She still appeared dazed, but wobbled less. The fresh air and sight of blood must have jolted her back to reality. She reached into her purse and pulled out tissues to blot the blood.
“I’m not judging,” I clarified, in case I embarrassed her. “We all have our things.” When she didn’t answer me, I asked, “Where do you live?”
She focused on me with a dead-eyed stare. “Figures you don’t remember.”

SYNOPSIS

Morgan le Fay, 6th-century Queen of Gore and the only major character not killed off by Mark Twain in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, vows revenge upon the Yankee Hank Morgan. She casts a spell to take her to 1879 Connecticut so she may waylay Sir Boss before he can travel back in time to destroy her world. But the spell misses by 300 miles and 200 years, landing her in the Washington, D.C., of 2079, replete with flying limousines, hovering office buildings, virtual-reality television, and sundry other technological marvels.

Whatever is a time-displaced queen of magic and minions to do? Why, rebuild her kingdom, of course—two kingdoms, in fact: as Campaign Boss for the reelection of American President Malory Beckham Hinton, and as owner of the London Knights world-champion baseball franchise.

Written as though by the old master himself, King Arthur’s Sister in Washington’s Court by Mark Twain as channeled by Kim Iverson Headlee offers laughs, love, and a candid look at American society, popular culture, politics, baseball...and the human heart.

Chapter XI: The Queen in Search of a Baseball Club

CLARICE HELPED ME pack my clothing and accessories for the relocation to London: just what I would need for the first brace of weeks, which amounted to eight large traveling cases, one of which was devoted to my hair accoutrements and cosmetics. Not long after arriving in this century, Clarice had introduced me to these wonderful products, which allowed me to create the same visual effect as I had done for decades with the aid of magic; now you sit privy to the secret of how I could cast ever so many enchantments for President Malory and remain looking as glorious as ever.
While I was yet sorting through my garments deciding which to bring and which to leave, my thoughts turned toward a leaving of another sort. I must have appeared sorrowful, for of a sudden Clarice asked if aught ailed me.
“I shall miss you, Clarice, when I get to London.” Since that answer represented only half the truth, I hurried on with: “And yet I know that you shall perform your duties in continuing to oversee my office here in Washington to the utmost of your considerable abilities.”
That made her smile, and she thanked me for the compliment, but her look turned shrewd. “I imagine you’ll miss President Hinton, too.”
“Of course I shall. She has become as a sister to me.”
I resumed examination of the dress I had been holding, a sexy little black thing that I would have loved to have worn only for Accolon…
“Please tell me about him,” said Clarice.
“I beg your pardon?”
The shrewd look was back. Mayhap it had never left. “Sir Accolon. Queen Morgan, you have not—um, partnered with any man of this century more often than once to my certain knowledge, since I manage your schedule. I suspect that you have not yet found anyone you like, let alone love, as well as he. No one of this era could make you go all moony-eyed while looking at a dress; therefore, you must be thinking about Accolon. So, please tell me about him.”
Ha. I knew I had chosen her as my trusted adviser for good reason, and I rewarded her accordingly. As the memories swirled about in my mind, making me yearn even more acutely for Accolon’s company, I said:
“He was a knight with very few peers during his lifetime, excepting only Sir Launcelot and Sir Gawaine. And my brother—those three were the only knights who ever bested him in single combat. So naturally, he was big—in all parts and portions—and muscular, and very strong, yet as a lover he was no brute, but as tender as any virgin maid could ever wish for. His intellect was nearly as keen as mine, as was his eagerness to assist me in righting the wrongs inflicted upon me by my brother. He had hair as glossy black as a raven’s wing, which he kept short-cropped in the old Roman style; he once said it was more comfortable under the helmet than having masses of hair stuffed up under and making the head sweat overmuch. It had a fine curl to it that I found most endearing. His eyes were an unforgettable shade of blue, and he had a strong chin that he kept clean-shaven…Lord God in heaven! Who on earth is that?”

Thanks for sharing your book,
