Answers from an Editor at Crimson Moth

Does the world really need another new publisher of erotic fiction? Maybe. Maybe not. However, as an imprint of well-established epublisher, Wings ePress, Inc., Crimson Moth has a successful base of operations and a knowledgeable and experienced staff. We’re not exactly new!

Already a publisher of highly sensual fiction, it was easy for Wings to take that next step. TA DAH… Crimson Moth Erotic Romances.

Anita asked me what makes Crimson Moth different from other publishers. This is a surprisingly difficult question to answer. We’re looking for great, well-told stories. These stories need to include explicit sexual encounters that titillate the readers as well as the story people.

One difference at Crimson Moth is that we join a small group of publishers with the following policy. Our tales are about one woman and one man in a monogamous, committed relationship. We acknowledge erotic tales including multiple and/or same sex partners, but don’t feel qualified to publish them at this time.

Other than that, we’re looking for HOT ROMANCE! Highly sensual stories with great characters a reader will identify with and love, Plot driven tales, filled with building passion and great sex. While romance is our primary focus, sex scenes should flow naturally with the story as the characters’ relationship grows. No sex for the sake of sex. Satisfy the reader with a happy ending--which may not be a happy ever after, but definitely the promise of one.

And how could I leave today without a couple of tips for you. Here’s a basic tip that I know you already understand. Read and follow the submission guidelines at www.crimsonmoth.com . That and your excellently written tale are the best ways to impress our editors.

Secondly--write a story with characters YOU love, who give you shivers (or more!)of delight and make you want to run out and find the lover of your dreams.

Now, that’s a successful story!

Thank you Lizzie for your inside,

Anita
