Home Town Girl Helping #HR4HR - Please RT for #Texas
Having grown up in the small town of Pearland, Texas, I feel for the people who were effected by Tropical Storm Harvey.
Right now, during the World Series Mobile One is donating $2.00 for every tweet or retweet of people who use the hashtag #HR4HR This is one time that I feel we can all help and area that needs it.
Also, I know what it is like to loose personal valuables to a flood. It is heartbreaking and tears at your soul every time you go in your house to see the destruction it caused.
So I am asking everyone to please retweet this message. You don't have to visit my blog or buy a thing. Just do a simple RT.
Thanks everyone for your help,
Houston is strong, but we can all help by taking a few seconds to help our neighbors.

Claimed by the Captain by Gracie Malling #WitchFinder, #Adventure
Title:
Claimed By the Captain
Release
date: 8th
April 2016
Key
words:
Historical, Romance, Spanking, Discipline, Head of Household, Witch
Finder, Adventure
Blurb:
When Captain Thomas Edwards returns home after twenty years at sea to
take ownership of the White Hart Inn following the death of his
father, he has not even reached the edge of the village before he
comes across a miscreant stealing apples from a local farmer’s
orchard. Upon discovering that the thief is a young woman named Ellen
who has been employed in his father’s inn for years, he considers
it his responsibility to bare her bottom and spank her soundly.
In
addition to working as a servant at the White Hart, Ellen has become
known for her skill as an herbalist, and the last thing she needs is
a stern sea captain getting in the way of her curing the ailments of
her fellow villagers with a potion or tonic when the need arises. But
despite her shock at being punished in such a shameful manner for
nothing more than stealing a few apples, to Ellen’s surprise the
painful chastisement leaves her aching for Thomas to take her in his
arms and make her his.
Despite
his willingness to spank her bare bottom whenever he feels it
necessary, Ellen finds herself falling deeper in love with Thomas
with every passing day. But when plague strikes the village and a
witch finder is summoned, Thomas forbids Ellen from using her herbs
to aid her friends and neighbors. As the situation grows more
desperate, will she disobey him and put her skills to use even if it
means risking her life, and can he keep her safe if she does?
Excerpt : Ellen
was not a fool; she knew when she was caught. “Sir, if you heard it
all, why are you asking me these questions?” she asked with an
impatient sigh.
“To
see if you would be honest with me,” he replied, his voice heavy
with disapproval. “But now I see you are a liar as well as a
witch.”
Ellen
wrenched her arm out of his grip. “How dare you!”
“Do
you deny it?”
“Aye,
sir,” she replied angrily. “I merely help others as nanny did
before me.”
“With
charms and poultices and spells? Do you not see the very great danger
you put yourself in by indulging in these practices?”
Ellen
planted her fists on her hips. “Nanny said—”
“Your
grandmother should have known better than to teach you such tricks,”
said the master, taking a step closer. “She has made a target of
you.”
“You
will not speak of nanny that way!”
“Take
care, girl,” warned the master, “or I shall put you over my
knee.”
Ellen
felt heat rush to her face and the muscles in her stomach clenched
painfully. It was all so sudden; her body reacting to his words,
against her will.
She
swallowed. “I have not stolen anything, sir.”
“Not
tonight,” he said. “But you have been disrespectful and
argumentative. As I told you yesterday, it is my responsibility to
protect you as it is your duty to obey me. I would be failing in that
responsibility if I allowed you to continue with this reckless
behaviour.”
The
brief flare of fear (or was it excitement?) was extinguished in a
rush of outrage. Ellen drew herself up to her full height. “It is
not for you to tell me what I may and may not do! Sir,”
she added with venom, attempting once more to return to the inn.
But the
master was quicker and she found her way blocked again.
“Have
you already forgotten your promise to obey me, Ellen?” he demanded,
his voice quieter now but still intense. “Were the tears and
remorse yesterday a lie as well?”

Bio:
Gracie Malling lives in the UK and has been writing BDSM erotica
since she was 21. All round nice person on the outside and a bit of a
bad girl in secret, Gracie loves reading and writing stories about
spanking: her favourite kink.
Questions
So
first, of course, the obvious question. How did you become a writer?
I’ve
been obsessed with writing stories for pretty much as long as I’ve
been reading them: so since the age of about five at least! I must
have started thousands
of stories between then and my mid-twenties but I never finished
anything: I just didn’t seem to have the stamina. This was
constantly frustrating – because I love writing so much – so for
my 26th
birthday, I bit the bullet and bought myself a place on a creative
writing course… and I haven’t looked back since!
Are
you like any of your heroines?
If I had
to choose, I’d say I was probably most like Jo (from Troublemaker).
A bit cheeky, occasionally sulky, and completely in love with being
spanked!
What
do you like to do when you’re not writing?
I love
going for long walks with our awesome dog, watching all
the films and reading all
the books, having millions of cuddles with the people I love,
pursuing increasingly ridiculous hobbies (including Scottish Country
Dancing and pirate re-enactment), practising yoga, playing the piano
and going out for cocktails with my friends.
If
you were attending a Halloween party, what would your costume be and
why?
I quite
like the idea of getting together with a bunch of friends and
dressing in those red dresses and white hats from The Handmaid’s
Tale… non-traditional, I guess, but definitely terrifying!
What's
your favorite dish to cook?
It’s
not really a dish, but I love to bake focaccia bread! It’s so
lovely and salty and oily and it smells so gooooood…
Have
you ever jumped out of a plane?
Yes! I
did a sponsored sky dive for a children’s charity when I was 20
years old. It was amazing but I think once was definitely enough for
me…!
What
mythical creature would you want to be?
I would
definitely be a fairy. I mean, they can fly, they get to be naughty
all the time, and they only ever really eat cake – what’s not to
love?!
Do
you have any advice for other writers?
The best
writing advice I’ve ever seen is ‘you can’t edit a blank page’.
It’s so simple but so true. My advice to anyone starting out would
be to give their inner critic a holiday and just write and write
everything that’s in their head – you can turn it into something
that makes sense afterwards.
What
item, that you don't have already, would you most like to own?
I would
love to have one of those cute old-fashioned campervans so that I
could go on loads of adventures!
What's
your favorite love story? (movie or book)
I really
enjoy quirky romantic films where the characters have issues and/or
don’t really ‘fit’ in society but then find someone who matches
them perfectly and loves them for who they are. ‘Silver Linings
Playbook’ and ‘Secretary’ are two of my favourites.

A
psychic interior designer reluctantly agrees to renovate a sexy
investor's abandoned hotel on Loch Sheldrake, a lake rumored to have
once been the mob's body dumping ground.
Interior designer Kate Bardach loves her single girl's lifestyle, living in Manhattan and spending weekends at her lake house. She's passionate about her career, too--reinventing old buildings. But there are some projects she can't take on because of the spirits trapped inside. Kate is psychic--she sees dead people.
Marco Lareci is one of Wall Street's most successful investment brokers who's achieved all of his life's goals--except for finding his soulmate. His latest project, an abandoned resort on Loch Sheldrake, needs a savvy designer to transform the crumbling complex into a boutique hotel. When Marco meets Kate, he can't believe his luck. She's the perfect match for his business and his heart.
Marco's body excites Kate even more than does his renovation project. But he wants more than a casual relationship, and she's not willing to give up her freedom. Plus, the haunting at Marco's resort, a bonafide poltergeist, affects her on an intensely personal level. Kate's aunt disappeared from the place fifty years ago.
Will the spirit doom Kate and Marco's love, or drive them closer together?

Excerpt:
A whirling dizziness
overtook Kate, and suddenly, she was inside the building, standing in
the lobby directly beneath the chandelier. Moonlight twinkled on its
crystals in the darkness—a darkness thicker and deeper than ebony
velvet. And the flashes of light dancing over her face and arms and
all around her feet on the diamond-patterned carpet challenged her
equilibrium, and she staggered.
But there was
nothing to grab on to. She was lucky she didn’t topple to the
floor. She recovered, though shakily, as the sparks of light began to
organize and whirl around her, like a cyclone whose eye was her. The
ringing in her ears grew louder, almost painful.
A sound behind her,
coming from the direction of the ballroom, was like the hissing of a
hoarse whisper. She turned as if in slow motion, dream-like and
unafraid. Somehow she knew, felt deep in her heart, whatever was here
wouldn’t harm her.
But the entity
definitely wanted something. Wanted to share their pain with her.
That’s why it had blasted her with its agony the first day she’d
stepped over the threshold. How long, she wondered, had it been since
this spirit could unload some of its misery on a living being? Kate
often became their conduit: the only release for the suffering so
many trapped souls endured, endlessly through time.
The definition of
Hell.
In the blackness,
she could barely distinguish the arched entryway to the ballroom.
Peering across the empty space and through the far wall of glass, she
could see the lake, lights glowing on the opposite shore and dancing
in long streaks on the surface of the water. She didn’t make out
the shape, silhouetted by the oval arch, right away. Her sight had
blurred, and she lifted her hands to rub at her eyes. When they
blinked open again, it was there.
Her breath caught in
her throat as she realized it was large, at least in breadth, its
surface thick and fuzzy. Her first thought was bear.
But then a dripping sound filled her head, and she imagined more than
saw something—what?
Water? Blood?—streaming down off the apparition’s surface in
dull, thudding thwops
on the carpet. The sickening sound grew louder and louder, hurting
her ears, and panic began to take hold.
Her own heart raced,
and she was gasping for breath, as if she’d run a mile in heavy
gear. Sparkles again filled her vision, but not from the flashes of
light snapping wildly off the chandelier over her head.
Kate slapped both
hands over her ears and screamed.
Yet, easily
overriding her own horrified voice, two words resounded in her head.
The same way as they had the night in her apartment. Echoing,
pitiful. As though the voice emanated from down the other end of an
underwater drainage pipe.
Find me. Find me.
Find me.
Her breath hitched,
and she gave in to the terror. All sounds silenced, and everything
around her went black.

Excerpt :
CHAPTER
1
Seek help of the Lord of
Drakkenberg. Only he can aid you. You must fly with the dragon.
Her grandmother’s words rang in
Tova’s head as she climbed the path into the mountains. Why had
Mutti Zee sent her out of her way on a fool’s errand? Everyone knew
the dragonfolk had fled Velosia years ago, driven away by Bruno of
Grimmdorn’s crusade against them. Until he’d been driven from
power. Now Bruno had returned at the head of a mercenary army, if
Mutti Zee’s vision could be believed. And Tova had no doubts. She’d
felt the vibrations in the earth.
And somehow she was supposed to save
the kingdom?
She raised her gaze to the sky and
asked, “Why me? I’m no hero.” The heavens gave no answer,
though she saw clouds form to her left. She shook her head. Now she
was talking to herself, like mad Magnus, the village idiot.
She stopped to catch her breath and
rest her tired legs in a level area. The path ahead grew steeper and
narrower the higher it wound into the mountains. She groaned. After
walking all day, her legs ached. She was glad she’d worn men’s
breeches and a tunic with her sturdy boots. A gown and petticoats
would be but a hindrance.
After a deep breath, she started to
climb again. Dusk came early in autumn, and she needed to find
shelter before dark. Castle Drakkenberg, abandoned and
forlorn, perched high above on a cliff, its turrets silhouetted
against the leaden sky. Almost as if mocking her with its remoteness.
Too much was at stake and her chances of reaching the capital in time
to warn the king were slim at best. Even without this detour, she
estimated the journey to Castle Novita would take three days or more.
For centuries, the dragon lords had
resided in the castle, ruling the isolated mountain communities.
People in this area were known as dragonfolk, though Tova knew not
why. A great puzzle, but one she had no time to ponder. With luck,
she had but to find the dragonlord, and he would take charge of the
quest.
A shadow blocked the sun, and she
looked up at an enormous bird silhouetted against the sky. Goddess,
she’d never seen such a large raptor. It turned and the sun’s
rays glinted on its shiny red-gold wings and barbed tail. She stopped
and stared after it, shaken to the core of her being.
No, impossible.
Dragons didn’t exist. They couldn’t.

Together, Josh and Avery are forced to learn what happens IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES.
Excerpt:
Josh
had the sketchbook Gabriel had given him propped on his legs as he
sketched absently as he sat on the beach, the sun rising behind him,
not concentrating on what he was doing, the pencil moving quickly
across the paper. His thoughts were where they always tended to drift
to lately, Avery and the baby. He’d been afraid to sneak down and
see her since the day he’d actually held her. It tore him up inside
to be away from her for so long, but he didn’t understand what that
meant, that he could suddenly touch her and she’d feel it. He
didn’t want to scare her somehow. He smudged one of the lines he’d
drawn and studied his work. Her face stared back at him. He darkened
a few lines before he set the book beside him on the warm sand and
closed his eyes, thinking back.
He’d
decided to go with her to that very first doctor’s appointment, the
one to confirm whether or not her suspicions were correct. It was
uncomfortable being the only male in the doctor’s waiting room,
being smiled at by every woman who walked in. He could still see the
surprise on the nurse’s face when she walked out and found him
there by himself for the first time. He’d tried to keep from
squirming around anxiously in the chair every time he heard a door
open and close in the distance. He wondered just how long it took to
come back with test results anyway. They’d called and said they
were in, so it didn’t take all that long to tell her yes or no, did
it? He kept stretching his legs out ahead of him then bringing them
back, not wanting to trip anyone as they were called for their
appointment. He’d been there at least an hour waiting, jumping at
every noise. He’d been sure the nurse was about to give him
something for his nerves when he felt someone nudge his foot. He
scooted his feet back, letting whoever it was pass by on their way to
their appointment.
“Good
quiz in Cosmo?” Avery’s voice came from behind the glossy pages.
He
lifted his gaze in record time. “Who cares?” He tossed the
magazine on the empty chair beside him.
She
read the cover. “Rating your lover in twelve easy questions.”
“Avery?”
“What?”
She’d been reaching for the magazine.
“I
want to know.”
“I
haven’t taken the quiz yet.” She giggled as he batted her hand
away. “You’re absolutely crazy.”
He
glanced around the almost deserted waiting room before he pulled her
down to sit on his lap. “I want to know if we’re going to have a
baby.” His arm wrapped around her waist, his fingers sliding
beneath the back of her shirt, rubbing the soft skin at the small of
her back. “I need to know.”
“You
need
to know, huh?”
His
eyes locked on hers. “Come on, Aves. Am I going to be a daddy?”
She
took one of his hands and moved it around, resting it on her abdomen.
She bit her lip for a moment before breaking out into the most
beautiful smile he’d ever seen. “I think Daddy’s crazy, don’t
you, baby?”
Josh’s
jaw dropped, his mind going absolutely blank as he tried to
comprehend her words. She was kidding, she wasn’t kidding. She
didn’t look like she was kidding. That smile on her face, the way
her eyes were shining as she waited for his reaction. “Oh my…oh
my God…”
“So
I guess I was right.”
“Let’s
take you home,” he said suddenly, his hand tightening over hers.
“Why?”
He
leaned in close to her. “Because I want to talk to the baby and
then I want to make love to his beautiful mommy.” He stared into
her eyes. “All right with you?”
She
blushed as she slid off his lap. “More than all right with me.”

#BookHugs from @AuthorTinaGayle - CEO's Widow #geezerlit , #breastcancerawareness
A hug is a great way to show someone you care. That's why I love book hugs.
CEO’s Widow - Book 4 of the Executives' Wives' Club series
Genre: Contemporary Romance with strong women fiction elements
Four women...
One fatal car wreck...
Everyone's lives changed...
One fatal car wreck...
Everyone's lives changed...
Blurb:
After
surviving the grief from her husband’s death, Marianne Clark has
built a new life with the help of the other Executive Wives. She
plans to enjoy grandchildren and friends until her doctor tells her
he found a lump in her breast. Her world turned upside down. She
re-evaluates her priorities and decides she grab hold of life with
both hands.
Knox
Turner lost is first wife to cancer. He’s determined not to let
Marianne face this challenge alone.
Can
this couple face the trials ahead and build a future together?
Excerpt:
Tears
leaked from the corners of Marianne’s eyes. She brushed them away
with the back of her hand and stared out the front windshield of her
car.
One
sentence kept playing through her head. “We found an area on your
left breast that might be a problem.”
Her
doctor described other tests she’d have to take, which might also
include a biopsy and possibly even surgery. With
twenty-five-plus-years as an executive’s wife, she’d pushed aside
her emotional response and had dealt with the problem logically.
She’d
departed her doctor’s office in a blind stupor, reviewing every
possible solution. Once she reached her car, she sat there for a few
moments, her mind naturally turning to how to tell her family. Then,
she recalled her decision to spend tonight with Knox and to go away
with him for the weekend.
Pain
sliced through her.
What
should she say to him? Especially after the pain, he’d endured from
losing Betty, his first wife to...
Damn.
Conversations
she’d had with Knox when Betty was undergoing her intense
chemotherapy ran through Marianne’s head. He’d appeared so
strong. Yet, he’d sacrificed everything and sold his company so
he’d have more time to spend with his wife.
Why
give up everything if he hadn’t believed she’d recover?

Even the Threat of Cancer can cause stress. The days before a doctor gets the results of the test can seem like forever.
When I was in my teens, my mother found a lump in her breasts. The only way for them to tell if it was cancerous was to do a biopsy. Back in those days, a woman had to check into a hospital to have a biopsy done.
The days before the biopsy, I remember believing that those may be the last days of my time with her. We grew very close during that time and remained close afterward.
When I decided to write CEO’s Widow, I remember the pain I suffered and tried to add that to the story. This book does not go into the technical aspects of the treatment. Instead, it is about the emotional pain the cancer causes.
