Tell Me A Secret - #FallingIntoLove Romance by Ann Everett

Blurb

Jace Sloan has it all. He's smoking hot, a college football star with a storybook family, and he's never met a woman he couldn't charm. He's also never met one who makes him want to be a better man...until he meets Maggie. Now, this self-proclaimed geek with wild red hair and the greenest eyes he's ever seen has him thinking all kinds of crazy thoughts. Like settling down and being a one-woman man.
Maggie Fielding is anything but Jace's type. For starters, her IQ is bigger than her chest size. But Jace is panty melting hot, and she's having a hard time remembering that he’s bad news. If only she could stop telling him her secrets, because her answers to his questions just might have both of them falling in love for the first time.

Excerpt

Maggie sat across from Sarah in their sunny kitchen, forked a piece of blueberry crumb cake and tried to devise a plan. When Jace suggested meeting at his parents’ house, he’d caught her off guard, but now after more thought, she was more determined than ever to end the arrangement.  Of course, the too many interruptions excuse wouldn’t work anymore and she couldn’t tell him the real reason.  He was a player in more than football. He was charming. Too charming. She knew his variety well, because she’d watched plenty of charismatic men use her mother. Maggie swore to never let that happen to her.
“So what do you plan to tell Jace?” Sarah asked.
“What if I claim I’m too busy?” She leaned forward, chin in hand, and hoped her friend agreed. “It’s true, I am busy.”
Sarah picked up a stray berry and popped it into her mouth. “You know what your problem is?”
“What?” She folded her arms and several frizzy curls fell into her face. Sarah pushed a sleek blond strand behind her ear and Maggie regarded her with envy, but then remembered Jace’s remark. You have beautiful hair. When he’d said it, her heart had fluttered. What was up with that?
“You are so far out of your element. You have no first-hand experience with someone like him and considering your mother’s parade of dysfunctional relationships, getting involved with the same kind of guy isn’t such a hot idea. The minute you googled him and saw how gorgeous he was, you should have bowed out.”
“His looks have nothing to do with it.” Her throat tightened with the lie. Just because she had an IQ greater than her bust size didn’t stop her from appreciating a handsome man. She was human after all.
“Not now. But at some point, you’ll fall under his spell. You have book sense, but you don’t have any boy sense.”
Sarah’s words cut deep. Maggie had spent a lifetime of feeling unimportant while her mother had gotten so wrapped up in men like Jace, she’d forgotten she had a daughter. No, Maggie decided. Regardless of how beautiful he was, or the fact she was beginning to like him, Sarah’s advice was sound. Maggie couldn’t risk involvement. “Well, I’m ending it tonight, so no worries.”

Tova’s Dragon is a hot #FallingIntoLove #Romance by Lyndi Lamont

Tova's Dragon
by Lyndi Lamont
Amber Quill Press
Genres: Shapeshifter Erotic Romance
Heat Level: 3
Length: Novella (20k words)

Four Fun Facts about Tova’s Dragon:

1) The story came to me in a dream. My last thought before falling asleep was that I wanted to write a dragon shifter story. That night I had a vivid dream about a young woman running away from a lightning storm. She found shelter in a cave where a dragon guarded its lair.

2) About a week later I had trouble sleeping. While I was lying in bed awake, the story started to take shape in my mind. I jumped out of bed at 4 AM, went into the living room, grabbed a yellow pad and started writing. When I stopped, , I had the outline for what became Tova's Dragon.

3) I was so enthused I bought a dragon figurine for inspiration, and later I got a dragon pendant that I still wear.

4) A friend sent an email that she was looking to get rid of her Celtic Dragon Tarot deck, and I jumped at the chance to buy it from her. The cards are lovely and helped me come up with some scene ideas.

Blurb:

Tova, an earth mage, rejuvenates through sex magic. She's on a mission to save her homeland, but her magical energy is running low--closing in on empty. How is she to know the handsome half-naked man she encounters is not only a condemned man, but also a dragonshifter? Talk about hot and steamy sex. And nothing is simple after that...

Kane has always loved Velosian women and their sex magic. Tova's warmth stirs his passions and her courage touches his heart, but he dreads telling her of his true nature, certain she will recoil. But Tova is made of sterner stuff.

Together, Kane and Tova have the power to save Velosia. If they survive, can an earth mage find happiness with a dragonshifter? In a land where sex and magic are intertwined, anything may be possible.

Excerpt:

Tova awoke to find herself on a soft bed wrapped in the embrace of a very hot, very aroused man. She opened her eyes and looked around the dimly lit chamber. “Where am I?”

“In my cave. You fell and hit your head.”

She squirmed around to stare at the man, and it all came back to her—the climb up the mountain, the lightning storm, being guided to the cave, and falling in the tunnel. “Your cave,” she repeated. “And you are?”

“I am Kane.”

Why did his name sound so familiar? She studied the face just inches from her own. He was older than she, perhaps in his third decade. Long black hair hung down to his shoulders and his eyes were a warm shade of amber under straight black brows. Her gaze dropped to sensual lips above a cleft chin. He was handsome as sin and naked to the waist. A shiver traveled up her spine and her heartbeat increased.

Around his neck he wore a heavy gold chain with a large, luminous pearl dangling from it. When she reached out to touch the pearl, she sensed power radiating from it, from him. “It was you who guided me to the cave, was it not? I thank you.”

“It was my pleasure, daughter of earth.”

She smiled at the apt nickname. “I am called Tova Svensdottir.”

“How are you feeling, Mistress Tova?”

She assessed the situation. Though she was warmer, her head still hurt and her energy was depleted. Self-healing would take a long time in this state. “Weak, a feeling I can ill afford.”

“Where were you headed in such a hurry?” he asked, his voice casual. “What on earth brought you to my mountain?”

She hesitated, not certain whether or not to trust him. Mutti Zee’s instructions echoed in her head. “I seek the Lord of Drakkenberg.”

Kane raised his brows. “You have come to the right place, though the old lord is dead.”

Suddenly, she realized who he was and scooted away from him. ’Twas just her luck to be rescued by the most feared outlaw in the land. “Please do not hurt me, Kane of Drakkenberg.”

With a sigh, he rose from the bed, clad only in his breeches and hose. “I would never hurt you, Lady Tova. I am not the monster legend depicts me. Well, not entirely.”

EXCERPT
Rachel sat at the table, her fingers hugging the hot mug of coffee as she surveyed her children. Her three sons were grown now. They were magnificent men. She shook the tears off as she thought of their dad. The credit for her sons went to Robert, a good man and a solid father. How she missed his friendship. It hadn’t been that long since he passed, but she felt the absence of his constant strength. Now, it was just her with her boys.
Rachel took a cleansing breath and spoke, “I have a story to tell. I know you all have wondered. It’s a story I promised never to tell. It isn’t one I wanted to live through, but it’s my story. I can’t keep it inside anymore. Now that they’re both gone, I have to share my story.”
She saw her sons’ confused and doubting looks, but it was Tyra, Ryan’s wife, who squeezed her hand in encouragement. “We’d love to listen to your story.”
Rachel looked past her sons, out the large window and beyond the lake. She’d underestimated how difficult the actual telling would be. It was much more difficult than the decision to do it had been. But she had to. She had to rise to the challenge of being the strength for their family now. Her sons must understand the true character of their father. They deserved that much at least.
She began her story…

Office Romance from #FallingIntoLove with Suz deMello: Kinky Toes

 photo fallcolors_russetblack_zps85afaeb3.jpg
Introducing Suz deMello’s latest HOT short story, Kinky Toes.
 photo kinkytoes_msr_zps686afb4c.jpg

What’s it about, you ask?
Genre: contemporary erotic romance
Shelbie Nathanson resents Rick Saldano's ascension to C.O.O. of her family's shoe company, a job she's wanted all her life. But she can't resist his red-hot, sexy style of lovemaking... one that focuses on her passion: shoes.
Here’s a snippet to pique your interest:
A secretary entered holding a tray of coffees. She set it on the big desk and offered a cup to Shelbie. “Two sugars and a drop of cream, just how you like it, Ms. Nathanson,” the girl squeaked.

“Great, thanks.” Shelbie took the coffee while wondering why the secretary was so jumpy. Maybe she’d had too much caffeine.

The girl cast Shelbie another scared glance before giving a cup to Rick, visibly relaxing as she served him and then Shelbie’s father, who sat behind his big desk in the place Shelbie expected to fill once he retired. With another frightened peek at Shelbie, the gofer scooted out.

“What’s with her?” Shelbie sipped. “Is she new?”

“Yeah, but it seems that your reputation precedes you,” Rick said drily.

“What do you mean?” she asked.

“I mean that no assistant of yours has lasted longer than six months. Word gets around.”

“That’s not my fault.” She stirred her coffee. “The last one was impossible.”

“Failing to know the difference between heliotrope and mauve isn’t impossible.”

“It is if you work for me. And calling my beautiful shoes Shelbie’s Slut Heels wasn’t appropriate.” She stretched out her leg to again admire her handiwork.

“True,” Rick said. “Talk like that damages the company.”
She glared at him, noting his attention fixed on her shoe. Man, he was just too easy.

Can fantasy become a reality for these two lovers?

Excerpt
My erotic adventure began the minute he whispered, "Do you happen to own a pair of red, fuzzy handcuffs?"

Well okay, it didn't exactly start there. If I'm going to be perfectly honest, I think it started with Kat's text: "Meet me at - insert name of five-star restaurant here."
Kat is always getting me to take her out for expensive dinners. I don't mind, I'm a high paid executive, in a very large corporation, while she's a receptionist in a small dental office. Besides, I like good food and her company.
Kat and I have been BFFs since third grade. We were in each other's wedding parties, and cried on each other's shoulders at our subsequent divorces. Now, we're each other's go to person whenever the mood strikes. Obviously, the mood struck and it involved my credit card. I texted back a reply –"Xavier's. 6 pm."
~ * * ~
Kat waited outside the restaurant when my cab pulled up to the curb. "Timing or what? I just got here."
After the requisite cheek kiss we stepped up to the Maitre D'. He smiled his, I-must-be-friendly-because-they're-guests, smile and escorted us to our table. We ordered drinks and chatted. We talked about the weather, her new dress, my job—you know, just old—no, scratch old, put longtime—girlfriend stuff.
After a diet conscious meal, followed by a calorie-loaded dessert, we waited outside for a taxi.
"Do you trust me?" With a goofy grin on her face, Kat's dark chocolate, mellowed-from-too-much-wine, eyes gazed at me.
Having seen that innocent demeanor before; it meant nothing but trouble. I was a bit wary. Okay, a lot wary! The last time she'd gawked at me like that and asked the same brainless question, we ended up at a frat house beer slosh during Homecoming and I wasn't in college anymore.
A cab pulled up and stopped. She grabbed my arm and dragged me into it. "Convention Center."
I slid next to her and shut the car door. "What's at the convention center?"
"That's the trust me bit." She raised her hands and flicked two fingers up and down at the words "trust me".
You have to love air-quotes.
I checked my Blackberry for messages then glanced at her. "Is this going to get me arrested? Again?"
She shook her head.
"Is it going to get me hit on—again—by horny, beer-soaked, college drunks?"
Kat giggled.
"Is that a yes or a no?"

What People are saying about Capri's Fate –

5 Stars - Truly very creative lovemaking. I had to stop to fan myself and sigh a lot of times. My toes really curled.
