“Zack, damn it.”

The loud shout caught Sadie by surprise. She scanned the shoreline and spotted a man. Drawing to a stop, she threw on the brake, scouting the river bank.

 Two horses grazed nearby. Their saddles, along with other gear, lay discarded in a heap in the middle of a small clearing, as if two people had camped there over night.

A man stood at the edge of the clearing, turning at her approach. Dressed in only a pair of dark cotton pants, he rushed forward. His bright, curly blond hair and his broad shoulders registered briefly with Sadie but with her friend in trouble she didn’t let her sway her from the problem at hand.

“Are you a friend of the woman who is drowning?”

Unable to certain what to say to the stranger, she nodded and worked to clear the lump in her throat. How did this man know about Carolyn?

“Move over. I’ll drive. If we hurry I should be able to save her and my friend.” He placed a foot on the side step of the wagon and crowded onto the bench.

She quickly scooted along the wooden plank, allowing him room to settle beside her. Long fingers closed over the reins and he tugged the leather from her grip.

He didn’t wait for an answer. Lifting the reins, he released the brake.

A loud whistle sounded from the river, followed almost immediately by the slapping of paddles against the water.

The man clicked his tongue to encourage Beauty to get moving. He drove the wagon closer to the edge of the river, creating a rough new trail.

Bouncing on the seat like a rag doll, Sadie tried to keep her distance from the man, even though the task was next to impossible with the constant swaying of the wagon. She continually brushed against his arm, shoulder and thigh. A particularly hard bump almost landed in his lap.

“I’m sorry, but you need to slow down,” she complained and straightened.

“Nick?” she moaned in a weary voice and rolled to her side.

 He wrapped his arms around her naked body and drew her to his chest. “Shhhh. You’ve had a busy day. Let’s rest a while?”

She nestled closer and melted into his side.

The seductive caress of her skin ignited an arousing response in his loins. He wondered about taking her again, but decided she needed to rest. They’d have plenty of time for sex in the next few hours. Salzar wouldn’t expect Nick to be back at work until at least tomorrow.

Salzar...

The name evoked so many emotions in Nick, he unconsciously tightened his grip on Rane. She wiggled against him in protest, and he loosened his hold.

If only he could break into Salzar’s inner circle. Once inside, Nick would be privy to the location of the purification plant for the nustru. As Vortar’s sole source of energy, their army would be crippled by the lack of fuel for their equipment, which would also give Nick’s side a huge advantage and possibly end the war.

Nick wondered about Mat’s reasoning behind sending him a companion. Salzar liked woman, and most of his inner circle had at least one woman at their disposal. But Nick didn’t see jeopardizing any woman with such a dangerous assignment.

Yes, women fell into the line of fire occasionally, like his mother and sister when Vortar invaded his country.

But...to purposely put them in harm's way seemed wrong.

With this assignment being at the headquarters of the enemy, the likelihood of exposure threatened both their lives. Salzar, a ruthless beast, slaughtered the ruler of Vortar and his family ten years ago to gain his position of power and would not hesitate to kill again.

But as a woman, Rane was in even greater danger. Salzar’s fetish for sex could lead him to do unspeakable things to her before he allowed her to die.

Full Text: This was a really good book ... You have Nick which is use to working alone gets sent Rane as his campion and partner to work with to help bring structure back into the country and Rane's homeland . Nick has no clue who Rane is and why she is really there but at the same time Nick has his personal reason to for what he is doing also. But the chemistry between the two in the book is great ... Wonderful story a must read.

According to Webster - inhibition means the blocking or holding back of one psychological process by another.

Or to consciously or unconsciously suppress or restrain from unacceptable behavior.

Now the first question which comes to mind is - Who decides if it is unacceptable behavior?

Some might not want you to go camping or for a hike in the woods. They believe you should only do things that are acceptable to them.

So if you and your lover want to try something new and it's not hurting anyone else, why is that unacceptable?

Most people are afraid to venture into uncharted waters for fear of being laughed at or looked upon with disgust.

But between lovers, there needs to be an open communication which allows for a little excitement and trust. If a couple agrees to try out bondage, go skydiving, and or set out to discover a new way to have fun. Why shouldn't they go for it?

Don't let other people's views of what's proper ruin your fun. Enjoying time together is why you decided to become a couple in the first place.

Now, let loose and have a fun-full day of loving each other.

Why not use them in a classic dessert for your honey?

Fast and easy, banana pudding is layered with vanilla wafer cookies and a rich vanilla pudding for a no-bake dessert that will please the one you love.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk)
1-1/2 cups cold water
1 (4-serving-size) package instant French vanilla pudding and pie filling mix
2 cups (1 pint) heavy whipping cream
40 vanilla wafers cookies (about)
3 to 4 medium bananas, sliced and dipped in lemon juice from concentrate
4 vanilla wafers, crushed to crumbs for garnish

Preparation:
Combine sweetened condensed milk and water in a large mixing bowl. Add pudding mix and beat on medium speed for 3 minutes. Refrigerate pudding mixture for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. Fold whipped cream into chilled pudding mixture until combined.

Select a large (3-quart) decorative glass bowl. Spread 1/2 cup of pudding around the bottom of the bowl and top with one-third of the vanilla wafers, followed by one-third of the bananas and one-third of the remaining pudding. Continue layers, finishing with pudding on top. Sprinkle with crushed vanilla wafer crumbs. Chill at least 4 hours before serving.

Refrigerate leftovers.

“Have you ever done it while flying?” A soft female voice whispered near Dedrick’s right shoulder.

He turned.

A fairy with dark auburn hair stood a few steps away. Her sea green eyes held a teasing glint and a come-hither smile welcomed him closer. He dropped his gaze and scanned her lush body.
