Tour for Shadow on the Wall

SHADOW ON THE WALL
By
Pavarti K. Tyler

BLURB:   Recai Osman: Muslim, philosopher, billionaire and Superhero?

Controversial and daring, Shadow on the Wall details the transformation of Recai Osman from complicated man to Superhero. Forced to witness the cruelty of the Morality Police in his home city of Elih, Turkey, Recai is called upon by the power of the desert to be the vehicle of change. Does he have the strength to answer Allah's call or will his dark past and self doubt stand in his way?

Pulling on his faith in Allah, the friendship of a Jewish father-figure and a deeply held belief that his people deserve better, Recai Osman must become The SandStorm.

In the tradition of books by Margaret Atwood and Salman Rushdie, Shadow on the Wall tackles issues of religion, gender, corruption and the basic human condition. Beautiful and challenging, this is not a book to miss.

Excerpt #2
            Knock. Just one solid sound.
Recai sat up too quickly and fell back against his mattress gasping as Rebekah stuck her head into his small room, her face creased with worry and fear.
“Cover yourself and stay silent,” she whispered before closing the door and rushing back into the living room to retrieve her burqa and open the door. Recai heard the movement of the heavy fabric she wore on top of her house dress as she moved across the room to greet their visitor. He wondered if she had retrieved her father’s gun which he’d overheard Hasad say was under the couch in the living room.
Before hiding beneath the thin sheet that covered him, he reached down and pulled the rug from the floor and threw it across his legs. He covered his head and melted against the wall with the pillow on top of his upper body. Feeling foolish, Recai laid there, wishing he had his ID, his phone, anything to help bribe his way out of this situation if it was indeed the RTK at the door.
Perhaps it’s just a neighbor, he thought. A neighbor come to ask after Rebekah’s father’s health or to borrow some salt. His attempt at rationalizing the unexpected visit did not quell his fears. The RTK made a habit of performing home inspections, especially if they suspected a woman alone. It wasn’t a safe time for anyone under the jurisdiction of Mayor Yilmaz.

Sparks the Imagination

Now, let's take a look at the Sci-fi movies. They take us to new worlds and introduce us to wild characters. The best part is they dress men and women in skimmy outfits that excite our senses.

The Star Trek and X-Men series are some of my favorites.

How about you, which sci-fi movies do you like?

Adventure with a Vegetable.

We've all heard the joke about how a cucumber is better than a man.

True or false, they can add a new twist to the game.

Give one a try.

A shower sprayer can be used in many ways to add a little fun. Not only can it relax tired muscles but it can also excited intimate ones.

Aimed at the right place, you can have a very rewarding shower.

Do it with a Friend

Exercise, have fun, enjoy each other company.

These are times that we share ourselves and grow closer to the ones with love.

Yeah, and if the add benefit is a better life, how can we complain?

Have a great weekend,

One Step, Two -- Oh, My

Seeing as I'm on the exercise kick. I decide to talk about alternatives to the TM -

Yes, there are other machines in the gym.

And like most people, I've probably tried them all. Some are better than other.

The bike - does great wonders for your legs, but I never thought they help the rest of my body.

The stair stepper - well - me and that machine grew to hate each other back when I was having problems with my knee.

The ones, I've learn to like over the years are the weight machines.

No, I can't lift a hundred pounds but I do enjoy flexing my muscles.

Give it a shot and see what you think next time you are looking for something beside the mindless routine of walking on the treadmill.

Can Exercising Be Fun?

Okay, this is a question. I battle with continuously.

Yes, I need to workout. But is sweating fun?

If I'm on the ski slopes working my way down the mountain - the answer is yes.

If I'm on the treadmill (which is work in it's self to get on) - the answer is closer to no.

So how can I change that "no" to a "yes"

Here's some things I've tried -

  • Music - got to have it (the louder the better - kills the sound of the TM's motor)
  • Watching a movie - I have to have a very good movie to keep my mind off my feet
  • working weights while I'm walking - thinking about lifting my 3 pound weights and concentrating on my arms and not my feet.
  • even tried slowing the machine down and walking backwards.

That's my list - How about yours? Want to share?

Work Commitments

Boy, if I didn't have a job I could have so much more fun.

Yet, how would I pay the bills?

Work takes up a large amount of our time and energy. Over-time, deadlines, and business travel can eat into the time we spend with our lover, friends, family.

Learning to balance work and play can be a challenge. Some people handle this better than others. The best thing to do is remember to talk to the people you love and let them know what you're going through. Take time to regroup, then schedule time for what's truly important.

The job maybe important but it can't hold you when you need to cry.

Have a wonderful day full of fun-loving sex,

Anita

Sexy clothes

Now, you could go out and spend a high price on some the sexy.

Or you could just cut off that old pair of jeans into a sexy pair of short shorts.

Your choice.

Try Out a new Role

Want to try out some new role-playing in your sex life?

Here are some ideas.

School Teacher and Student: "I'd like you to stay after class for some private tutoring."

Flight Attendant and Passenger: "Coffee, tea,... or me?"

Homeowner and Electrician: "Hurry, I need a spark to light me up!"

Police Officer and Burglar: "Spread 'em!"

Firefighter and Frightened Citizen: "Let me get my hose and put your fire out."

Photographer and Subject: "Why don't we try some with your clothes off...smile."

Madonna and Adoring Fan: "Get into the groove, boy, you've got to prove your love to me."

Have fun,

Anita

Unexpected Gift

No one says you have to wait until Christmas or your lover's birthday to give them something special.

Try giving her something sexy when you aren’t expect sex immediately.

Not only does it make her wait, but it adds to the anticipation of when she will wear it.

Make the everyday fun and spice up your love life,

Create Good Karma

By showing people you care.

If you take the time to compliment your partner for the little things they do. You can create positive energy that can circle back and benefit you.

Be sincere and tell your lover, friends and others something good about themselves today.

Have a great day, full of fun, love and sex.

Create a Bag of Fun

Have time for sex, but want something new. On these occasions create a grab bag of fun. You and partner each put ideas in a bag like new positions, sex games, or items to play with.

When you’re at a loss to what to do on your next sexual adventure, pull something from the bag and try out something new. Come up with what goes into the bag can be as fun as taking things out of the bag.

Have a great day, full of fun, love and sex.

My Kids Are Killing My Love Life

Anyone with kids could have probably said this at one point or another.

Now, the trick is finding time for each other as well as sex.

Some people plan it out and have a regular time they count on being together.

A weekly date, where a babysitter comes in and takes care of the child/children. My question for this one is do you grab a quickie in the backseat of the car or rent a hotel room for a few hours?

Neither is a permanent solution.

Most people try to work it in when they can. The kids go to sleep early. Yeah, that's our time.

Both boys are at boy scouts - Let's take advantage of the free time and jump into bed.

Again, this might work for awhile but schedules change.

The best advice I can give is be open to opportunities. Try to schedule time together and let your kids know you want time alone with your significant other. If it works out - great. If not - try waking up a few minutes early or staying up a few minutes later.

Where there's a will, there is a way.

Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel

Ten o’clock on Tuesday night, it must be time to have a little fun.

While this can be a way of making sure you make time for your lover. Why not change it up?

So it’s six am on Thursday, you woke up a little early.

Why not see how a little romp in the hay might improve your day?

Being flexible might open a whole new world of possibilities.

Add a little fun, a little love and a little sex anyway you can.
