What #Reviewers Have to Say About "Texas Passion" #romance #OldWest

Thought I'd share a few reviews for my book Texas Passion.

Blurb -

Home from a long cattle drive to Abilene, Trent McCall just wants to unwind. But in his absence, his father's been making wedding plans...for Trent. The last thing he wants is a spoiled and pampered socialite for a wife. What he wants is a hard drink and a willing woman. An uncomplicated woman who understands a man’s need for release after a hard ride. Good thing he’s got one waiting for him.

Four years back East haven’t changed Catherine Turnberry’s mind. Her heart is set on neighboring rancher, Trent McCall. When an end-of-the-trail party threatens to put him into the arms of another woman, Catherine grabs the bull by the horns. Taking the place of the whore hired to pleasure Trent, she intends to give him a welcome he'll never forget and show him what Texas passion is all about.

Joyful review but no longer posted on their site.

Texas Passion is a quick romp into a woman getting what she has always wanted. While I felt Catherine was being portrayed as rather manipulative it did work for the overall storyline. Texas Passion is an erotic and fast paced historical/western romance that you will enjoy.

Undressed

UNDRESSED

By
Avery Aster

BLURB:

Book 1 in The Manhattanites series. (78,000 words, M/F, HEA, Erotic Romance, Contemporary)

Milan’s notorious playboy, Prince Tittoni, seems to have everything—Lamborghinis, exotic women, palaces throughout Europe and business success. Ramping up his fabric company to go global with a new apparel brand, he ruthlessly stops supplying fabrics to the American client who inspired the collection. But once they meet, what’s he willing to give to get her in his bed?

Upper East Side designer Lex Easton has already endured her fair share of hard knocks. She’ll be damned if she’ll let an Italian stud muffin knock her down. So what if she named her favorite vibrator after him? With Fashion Week approaching, she’ll do whatever it takes to secure the fabrics she needs to make her clothing line an international success—even sleep with her rival. Lex’s Louboutins are dug in deep to win this war. All’s fair in love and fashion!

Inside Scoop: Though the hero and heroine remain monogamous, their Prada-wearing friends indulge in a ménage a trois and other fashionable sexual fun and games.

EXCERPT:

Cupping her hands around her eyes, she pressed her face to the window to see a tiny cockpit. “Where’s the pilot?”

“Right here.” He held out the keys, walking around the plane’s right side, smirking, and posing as Indiana Jones on the last crusade. She hoped they weren’t heading toward the Temple of Doom. Massimo rivaled Mr. Jones in hotness, she prayed not in adventure.

“Do you have a pilot’s license?” she asked, unsure if they taught aviation at The Royal Millionaire Playboy Academy.

“Sì, signorina.” He shook his head poking fun at her.

“I’m serious. Show me your license please?” Lex held on to the plane’s door as if it were a gate to hell. Christian Dior, get me outta here.

Massimo closed the distance between them in response. “Give me your hand.” Not waiting for her to respond, he grabbed her mitts from the door. “Bella, you are shaking,” he noticed and secured his fingers around hers, massaging her palm into his.

Strong hands. “You may call me Lex, not Bella. This isn’t Twilight.” She didn’t care for paranormal.

25 New Yorker Insights Learned in Undressed by Avery Aster Sex
• Your vagina can take a guy’s shaft and nuts…at the same time.
• Always name your butt plug after Anderson Cooper.
• Pre-ejaculation while jetting a plane over Italy causes turbulence.
• Never let a dog sleep in your bed, especially three dogs. It’ll ruin your sex life.
• If he’s as hung as an Evian bottle, it’s best to look away.
Money
• Always retain the legal services of female lawyers, particularly ones named; Sarah Goldbaum and Hannah Goldstein.
• Never allow your mother to spend your line of credit on a psychic from the Caribbean.
• Sexual frustration leads to good business practices, enough to earn three hundred million dollars.
• If Bergdorf’s, Barney’s and Saks Fifth Avenue reject your upcoming fashion collections try selling it to JCPenny’s.
• Use your American Express reward points wisely.
Life
• Bellini cocktail consumption will induce foot fetishes.
• Swedish Fish, Now & Later, and Gummy Bears from Dylan’s Candy Bar are perfect for your fuck-it bucket.
• Everyone should be so lucky to have a best friend like Taddy Brill.
• Never drive a Ford Thunderbird off a cliff thinking you’re Thelma & Louise.
• Stay away from any woman named Scilla or Ottavia.
Fashion
• Wearing Tory Burch ballet flats while racing a sports car may cause ones clitoris to hum.
• Think twice before sitting Lady Gaga and Madonna next to one another at your fashion show.
• Prada and a condom, when worn together, are known to make bisexual men go bonkbuster cra-cra.
• Altering a vintage Valentino dress, formerly worn by socialite Nati Abascal, may land you on the red carpet.
• We should all get fucked in Fendi.
Love
• When in love, you can have as many orgasms as you like…in one day!
• Slow dancing to Giuseppe Verdi enhances one’s emotional state.
• Never argue with your lover in public, above all—never in front of Anna Wintour, Marc Jacobs, or Karl Lagerfeld.
• Playing Simon Says, in bed, may lead one to reveal their true feelings. So will strip dancing in front of him to the song Girls, Girls, Girls by Mötley Crüe.
• And finally, he must always say, “I love you,” first.

My Review:

Undressed is the first book in a series about friends, who live and work in New York. If you are a fan of the city and fashion, this is a story you will enjoy. Lex is a fashion designer on a mission. Though, she is running into some major problem with her supplier from Milan.

The story takes you to another country and explores the different culture. Fast-pace and sexual charged, Undressed is a hot read. Each character has problems to overcome to make their relationship work and the author does a very good job of drawing a picture of both the scenery and the characters.

Worth a read.

Review for Forever:The Dragon Wars

Forever: The Dragon Wars
by Rebecca Royce
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Devin Owen has come back from the Dragon Wars a changed Werewolf. For one thing, he's lost his wolf side as well as most of his desire to live. He spends most of his life doped up to handle the pain from his injured leg.
Lena Knox knew the moment she met Devin that he was her mate. But, she'd been a child at the time and he hadn't noticed her at all. Now, all grown up she wants Devin to be the wolf she’s waited for. Not that she has a lot of time for longing with life crumbling around her.
A couple of heated encounters draw them together but is it enough to overcome the war wounds they both carry? Or will an outside enemy destroy them before they get the chance to know?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Excerpt:

The Dragon alarm sounded in the distance. Devin’s whole body tensed. He knew they were false alarms, but they still got him worked up. On the front lines, when that alarm sounded, there was nothing fake about it.

“How long does it usually go on?” He’d been more than just a little distracted the first time he’d heard the shrill, piercing sound. Keeping Lena safe had been the pivotal thought in his mind.

“Maybe a minute.” His father stood up. “I wish they’d stop sounding them. Everyone knows the Dragons never get in this far.”

“Going running tonight?” Devin could hardly think with the Dragon alarm ringing. He wanted to be distracted; he needed his father to speak.

“It’s going on a bit long now.” His dad walked over to the window that faced the street. Devin joined him to peer outside.

A sight tremor overtook his hand, and he put it in his pocket so his dad wouldn’t notice. Why was he so worked up? His nose twitched and he bounced from foot to foot. Where had all of this energy come from?

He swung open the door and walked outside where the alarm sounded louder.

A noise caught his attention over the ringing hell assaulting his ears. He turned in the direction to see Lena tromping down the street. She looked worn out and for a second he wanted to wrap her up in his arms. The woman worked constantly. His heart melted at the sight of her seconds before he remembered his anger.

My Review -

I enjoyed this story immensely. Devin is a broken man who is just trying to get by each day after the Dragon Wars.

Lena is a woman to get the man she believes in her life mate.

The journey for the two of them isn't easy, but with each giving a little they find they can't live without each other. An other world tale that keeps the reader entertained.

Thanks Rebecca for stopping by,

Anita
