1. Mutual Respect - your lover likes you for who you really are.

2. Trust - believes you when you tell them about events in your life.

3. Honest - this is the almost the same as above, but it's also about not discovering the other person has lied to you.

4. Support - is there for you when you need them.

5. Fairness/equality - you both have a say in your relationship about what you do and who you see.

6. Separate Identities - you maintain the things you enjoy and celebrate the things your partner does when away from you.

Anita's Tips for Couples

Admit it, being in a relationship is hard, but if you follow a few simple tips you can find happiness.

Share a common dream – when two people join together to reach a unified goal. It connects them in ways that inspires trust.  This can be as simple as planning a vacation or deciding on a new car, or as big as having a family.

Choose each other as your first family – once two people get married they both need to remember that the other person should now become their main concern. This is not to say you avoid his or her family but that you need time alone together.

Learn how to fight right – It can be easy to take your stress out on your spouse. Try to recognize those times when you are not at your best, then warn your partner you need time to regroup before discussing certain subjects.

Find a balance between time for two and time for you – Just because you are now with someone doesn’t mean you can’t have time for yourself. Each of you came into the relationship with interest that attracted the other. You still need that creative outlet to fuel your soul. Give yourself the time for yourself so you can be the person your spouse fell in love with.

Build a best friendship – if the two of you can become best friends then you’ll be closer to achieve the relationship you both want and can face down the major challenge in your life together.

Realistic Expectations As a Couple

No marriage can be the end all, be all of your life.

Be honest, she's never going to like to fish.
He'll never enjoy quilting, or care which pattern you're using.

You have different interest, and by allowing each other to explore those differences you have more to talk about and grow as individuals. It's not a bad thing.

So enjoy the time away from each other to pamper yourself. Then when you get back together you'll truly appreciate the wonderful person you married.

Have a wonderful fun-loving weekend full of joy and happiness.

Good sex will help.

Yours, Mine and Ours

Family is the one thing that most couples don't share until they start getting serious. You meet his father, he likes your mother.

All seem to be going well until the holidays.

This is where most people run into trouble.

Who's house do you go to for 4th of July, Labor day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter?

Then after you have children, your kids don't want to go anywhere.

As you can see family can bring you great joy, but they can also cause conflict between you and your spouse/lover.

Talk it out and decide what's best for the two of you.

Remember you're in control, what makes the two of you happy is what you should do.

Spice It Up

Coming up with better ways to keep the magic alive in a relationship is hard work. Some times we don't have the energy or the time to deal with keeping the romance going.

Hey, we have a job, kids, family, and responsibilities. You’re working as hard as you can to just get through the day, much less worry about an exciting sex life.

I couldn’t agree more, but it doesn’t have to be a big production. Little changes in your routine can reap rewards. Remembering to kiss your lover the moment you see them is a small task and one that shows you care.

Making the coffee, a glance to show you find them sexy, a slid of the hand over your lover’s back when they’re struggling to do something. Small touches.

Spicing it up are the little things you do which take but a moment and show that you care.

After Marriage Money Expectations?

You are now living with someone and married.

Instead of two rent payments, you only have one.

There's more money in the kitty to spend.

Right?

Wrong.

Depending on your goals as a couple, the money might be needed to buy a new house, pay for the cost of your kid's college, or a trip to an exotic resort.

This is the one area where couple can run into major problems. You need to decide how and where your money is going to be spent as a couple. The new motorcyle, he wants might be traded against the new outfit you want, or it could need to be used for a new refrigerator. The first two might be more fun, but how long is the old refrigerator going to last.

If you don't come to some type of agreement, the spark in the bedroom will soon be replaced with fights in the hall.

Deciding this in the beginning will avoid problems down the road.

Anita's Reflections

Unrealistic Expectations

Funny, when we imagine our life after marriage, we sometimes image a life which is unrealistic.

Personally, I bought into the motto - Bring home the bacon, fry it up in the pan, and never ever let him forget he's a man.

Wrong, I couldn't do it. I was tired after work, and I didn't want to fix dinner. And well, if my husband wanted to remember he was a man, I'd let him take out the garbage.

That's fair. Right?

The point is, I couldn't live up to the picture of what I should be and what I should do.

My husband, the smarter of the two of us, understood and luckily convinced me he didn't want to live with a stressed out super woman.

So what expectations do you have?

Are they attainable, or are they only achievable in a perfect world?

Think about it, talk to your lover about it, revise the imagine in your head and come up with a better working picture.

What are some to the unrealistic ideas you had when you got married?

New Word
Sinlaw

Do you know what it means?

If I had to guess I would say committing a sin and breaking a law at the same time.

But I'm wrong

Sinlaw according to the Urban Dictionary means

The parents of your live-in boyfriend/girlfriend.

Couples that Play Together Stay Together

Read an interesting article on how men and women view dates differently.

Women tend to want conversation while men are happy doing an activity together.

I personally find this true. At the end of the day, I like to talk about my day share what happen and hear about what occurred in my husband's day. He, on the other hand, is happy sitting down with his tablet and watching TV.

For him a quiet evening at home is us sitting in the same room together. He's not alone. My mother and other women have complained of the same problem.

So what do we do?

Why try some other activities?

Like taking a class together,

golfing, hiking, or just stretching your boundaries and doing something fun.

So get out your sport shoes, ladies.

Then when you want to talk bring up an activity that you enjoy doing together.

My husband and I love to travel so when I'm in need of conversation. I start talking about where we want to go next and get into the planning mode.

Anita's Spicy Holiday Secrets to Keep Your Love Life Hot

The holiday season is upon us and the demands for our time is higher than ever.

So coming up with ways to keep the magic alive in a relationship is more important than ever. Though, we may not have the energy or the time to deal with keeping the romance going.

Hey, we have a job, kids, family, and responsibilities. You’re working as hard as you can to just get through the day, much less worry about an exciting sex life.

I couldn’t agree more, but it doesn’t have to be a big production. Little changes in your routine can reap big rewards.
- a kiss every your lover walks through the door or a odd time during the day.
- a touch when your close, a light pat, a caress, a quick shoulder rub
- fixing them a special meal
- working time in your schedule to spend with them.
- doing task together like shopping for gifts, washing the dishes, making the bed
- a wink, a sexy glance, a secret smile.
- a little gift (like a chocolate kiss a day.)

Spicing it up doesn't have to be a big production. It's the little things you do which take but a moment and show that you care that can show you care and build a solid relationship.

Have a fun filled day, full of love, joy and sex.

Anita's Naughty Ideas for the Weekend

A few game to play.

Do Everything but….

This can add suspense to your love life.

Agree to not let the evening end with intercourse.  You can touch, fondle, tease, stroke, etc, but knowing you can’t have something makes you want it that much more.

Just think what tomorrow can bring.  And if you get caught up in the excitement, yeah we won’t hold it against you.

or maybe try

Going commando.

Without underwear you are kept in touch with the erroneous zones of your body.  Men wear boxer so they can hang free.  Women should do the same to reduce the risk of vaginal infections and remind themselves that they have an appetite for sex too.

Just a few ideas to consider for the weekend,

Also you might consider
